so this may be a dumb question. but since I don't quite understand the policy of DeviantArt or FurAffinity. can someone tell me if I can post the drawings I have on DA here too?

Anything that's AOK by the AUP on http://www.furaffinity.net/lm/aup/ , which should mean pretty-much no problems for your DA. Blood/violence will need flagging as "Mature", though, since FA is a little bit more strict on that.
