My Little Brony Attempt
For whatever reason, as I launched YouTube and loaded up the very first episode of MLP: Friendship is Magic, I really, wholeheartedly expected to be proven wrong.
I thought I'd be posting a journal along the lines of, "Wow, I hate myself for saying this, but I understand now why the show is so popular."
Well, after sitting through twenty-two minutes of it, my opinion about the show was not changed at all.
In fact, it worsened.
Encountering the shitty character names, the shitty plot, the cheesy dialogue, the retarded musical-bird pony, and a slew of other terrible things, I now hate the show even more than I already fucking did.
Let me try to recall some key elements of the show I'd like to discuss..
The society of "Equestria" is absolutely retarded. Sexism much, Lauren Faust? The entire fucking community is composed of female ponies. There are no gruff, manly ponies anywhere. I assume that they're all locked up in a fucking dungeon, chained to the ground on their backs so the dominatrix pony bitches can hop on their dicks, steal their seed, and continue furthering the immense female population. I mean, seriously. What the fuck? Although, I did see two male ponies. They appeared to be non-sentient, perhaps mentally abused, being used as chariot-pullers. Yeah, that's right. Two ponies chained to a flying chariot, carrying two other female ponies.
Spike is a fucking retard. Nothing to say here, that's it. He just is. He's a baby dragon that apparently has this perpetual pony boner, where for some reason he wants to stick his infantile dragon penis in every character he encounters throughout the episode, being that he's the only dragon.
The dialogue is just painful to listen to. I thought perhaps I'd discover some intellectually stimulating hidden innuendo and referencing going on within the show that made grown men and women enjoy it so much. But nope, none of that. Listening to the fucking characters interact is incredibly awkward. It literally makes you feel like a pedophile at a McDonald's PlayPlace.
Just.. Urgh. No, no. I hold my ground.
Fuck My Little Pony.
Up the ass.
With one of those prickly brushes that's used for scraping grills down.

There are a few male ...horses. No I'm not using the p-word ever again. They're basically only "adults" in the show, though. There were a few younger males but they were about as bright as a blown bulb and had sports icons tattooed on their asses.
Everything else though? Pretty much spot on. Apparently one of the towns is called "Appleoosa".
The show is aimed toward girls (just look at the merchandise) so derp year there are going to be a larger populace of females. That's how ALL little kids show aimed at a certain sex are. (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Strawberry Shortcake, etc.) There ARE manly males-- most notable Apple Jack's older brother Big Macintosh. They are few and far between but they do exist.
Spike is NOT the only dragon. In future episodes there is at least one or two more in the first season.
The Dialogue is NOT profound-- I like to call it "Family Guy for Kids." Then again, Family Guy has it's intellectual stabs. BUT OH WELL THIS IS A KID'S SHOW LOL.
...Not arguing with you, just pointing out stuff from future episodes that I assume you'll never see since you hate it so much.
Yeah, all my discussion can only be aimed within the very first episode, since I haven't and likely won't ever see beyond it.
Thanks for the feedback, either way.
And yeah it's fine. xD It's really not for everyone. I honestly just started watching it one day back when it first aired on HUB. I really never in my mind thought it would explode into the craze it is now. xD

i'm done with you
>You don't like My Little Pony.
No sense there.
Gay because I like manly men.
Gay because I like guy things that aren't girly.
Not gay to pretend to be a girl.
The first generation of My Little Pony was really good, but as the generations kept going down and down, they kept getting worse and worse.
I think Lauren Faust really did something for MLP. Hahaha If you think this is bad, check out My Little Pony tales or My Little Pony 3.5. Ohh my gosh, 3.5 was absolutely atrocious.
I like the content of the show because it's cute, and it has a bit of depth - a story line, basically. In each episode they learn something new, the characters each have different personalities that both show their flaws and their good sides, and how they learn from them.
Basically, as the generations of my little ponies went down, they started to lose the 'love' I suppose. They went from crappier, to crappier to the point where it was something I wouldn't have been wanting my kids watching. Lauren Faust bought out the love again, I suppose. It wasn't about just making another crappy generation of My Little Pony, but she added more story into it - like the cutie marks for instance. They never had a meaning behind them until now.
Granted, at first I didn't like the show too much either, but I hadn't even gotten a chance to watch it. I think the reason that I didn't like it was because of how people interpreted it. How quickly famed it became when, honestly, there wasn't, and still isn't, much to it besides the fact that it's a really, really adorable kids show. I think it's really, really annoying how people idolize it. I enjoy it in the sense that, if I had kids, it's a really cute, and genuinely nice show that I would probably love to have my little girls, and maybe boys, watch. And, well, since I'm a girl, and I practically fantasize about adorable things, I've found myself to have a liking for it too. :>
Everyone deserves to have an opinion, though. I really dislike that this is become some sort of war. It's rather ridiculous, to be honest. :/
But anyway, I can easily identify your reasoning behind liking the show.
It just annoys me that the vast majority of the "brony" community on the internet uses the show and its characters purely as a trolling device.
But no that's exactly what annoys me too. :/ Seems more like the show is liked, simply because a lot of people hate the show. And it works vice versa too. It really is annoying, and it defeats the purpose of liking something for what it truly is.
I will never be able to look at reaction images / clips of that show the same way again. Possibly for the better.
the only one you've managed to piss off is yourself
