I love the vid myself. I think it's no different then th other music vids out there already.

i have to admit they did a really gutsy move and showed some courage major props for taking a risk making this video :D and i found it funny and entertaining so cheers to them

another thing im curious with all that sexual tension between them....i wonder after taping the video they shed their suits and had some fun lolz ^^

I suppose because it could possibly give people the impression that more than dancing was going on? People need to relax and stop trying to force the world to like them. Haters gonna hate and the rest of us can enjoy what we do. Even if there WAS explicit activity going on, which I kind of doubt, who cares? The only way an of us got on this planet in the first place was explicit activities, whether you use lace, leather straps or a fursuit, the act is the same.

No matter what people who defend this say, they can't deny that it gives the IMPRESSION that this is what happens in the fandom. That this is what fursuiters do.

Because people, on the whole, are STUPID. People will believe what's fed to them, and they will spread that word around to other ignoramuses who will do the same.

That's why someone who has a great experience at a restaurant will tell a few people, but someone who has a rotten experience tells EVERYONE THEY KNOW and even more they don't, if they're using Yelp! or something.

"Deal with it" only goes so far. People will deal with it, by spreading lies they perceive from videos like this.

I know they're having fun. I know that was most likely their intention. But I can certainly see where this could be misconstrued as sexual. Easily. The dancing is fine, but the grinding and stuff on the beds is communicating--despite the intention--something detrimental to the fandom, if we're even trying to foster a positive image anymore.

There should be a sense of responsibility. When I'm driving a semi truck, I drive courteously because I'm representing my employer. If you're out in suit, especially in public, no matter what you think, you're representing the fandom. Because people are STUPID, and they get the wrong impression all the time.

Personal creativity and stuff is all well and good. But shut up when the first thing people think of when they hear "furry" isn't positive.

A couple full disclosures:

I don't own a fursuit, so I'm not speaking from that specific viewpoint.

I am one of those sexual furries. Hell, I write porn. But I am by no means a puritan. But you won't see me at Folsom Street Fair, either.

At the end of the day, my goal is a fair debate seeing both sides. But I think people like have as valid a point as the suiters in the video have theirs.

Well, it looks like these fursuiters just wanted to share their little corner of their world. What is wrong about that? Some people will accept them, others will abhor them. Those with strong notions of their own justice and morality will condemn them, those that are open to anything will simply see them as another thing that adds up to this world we all have to share.

On another note, Those suits looked good to me quality wise. I like the semi real style that most had.

I can definitely see why there would be drama churned up by this video. The furry fandom is forced to maintain a stark contradiction at all times because of the stupid, knee-jerk reactions of the non-furry public: we must present a very clean image to the rest of the world because of the already tarnished reputation caused by past indiscretions, sensationalist media, and peoples' assumptions; and the fact we are all people who, like the rest of the world, like our sex. Among the furry fandom there is a great deal of porn and erotica in artwork and writing, awesome fursuits (some of which are quite sexy), and thousands of people of all ages and all forms of sexual interest who have found a very comfortable home full of like-minded friends in the fandom. To deny all that exists is to deny ourselves, yet to admit it just makes the drama queens in the rest of society say, "Ah-ha! I knew it!"

Visually the video is very well done (the music I could take or leave), but despite any lighthearted intent of the cast and crew and despite all the videos on Youtube and the rest of the internet showing the fandom to be very clean, friendly for all people of all ages, fun, and innocent, the world of people who are opposed to furries or suspicious of our true nature will ignore all the good stuff and focus only on the sexual portrayal of videos like this. I'm not saying this video shouldn't have been made or posted; I'm saying I wish the situation allowed us to say, "Yeah...so?" when people accuse furries of enjoying sex.
