Last thing i'm going to post about this whole bronieleaks affair.
Due to the recent mischievous behavior perpetrated by me and
i was notified that many important artists are unwatching me. I didn't notice it because there are sadly no "unwatched" notices on this website. Even worse me and beefeater got submerged by "THANK GOD FINALLY SOMEBODY DREW THAT" notes which make the great artist unsatisfaction notes hardly noticeable.
To solve the problem here's an easy to use and quick to compile "I hate you two, die in a fire" notice. Please compile and submit this to our customer care support teams.

I've watched several episodes and I liked them. They had the same atmosphere of PPG and Fosters. When I saw the banner, I laughed hard, I did the same with what you two made.
I don't see a reason to make a fuss over either. We shouldn't be afraid of being linked to Bronies, so people just carry that title ironically anyway. The only thing offensive was the second it took me to adjust to the Guro I was looking at.

I'm not unwatching you, I'm just a bit disappointed.
Just my opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.

On the one hand, I respect freedom of speech. I enjoy satire, and I am fond of people bucking trends in skillful manners. I also have much enjoyed your visual art and your thoughtful textual compositions.
On the other, I dislike juvenile attempts at deriding other people's quaint delights (after all, we all seem to like making imaginary anthropomorphized critters and drawing them doing things, for no other reason than that we like it). I also dislike gore (though that's just my taste) and I like that in our jaded and cynical world, there are still some things which cherish goofy, naive, colorful fun and simple values--again, like certain aspects of our own subculture--which I can't say I'm fond of seeing plundered simply because they can be, because it will vex people, because it's funny, etc.
So part of me wants to give you props that you went out on a limb and did this funky, furor-generating thing to get a point out there, while part of me is rather disappointed that you had this bizarre impulse and then went out of your way to act on it.
True, you gave your watchers the option to get the gist of what was going on without seeing the full composition (even while admitting you wouldn't have been able to resist clicking through, yourself). And true, your watchers aren't entitled to decide what you do or make with your time--even if they have an instrumental role in determining your future business.
Still, I feel I should feel less of you for actually going through with realizing this notion, rather than simply leaving it as a conversation point along the lines of "wouldn't it be lulzy if we made a picture of Fluttershy getting the guro treatment at the hands of two redneck furries? The drama alone could power a small metropolis!"
Not as a threat or authoritative admonishment--because I scarcely affect your future in and of myself, anyway--but while I had been eagerly looking forward to someday seeing my character rendered by your talented hands, my enthusiasm has been much cooled with regards to commissioning you some day, in light of all this. It's simply my honest sentiment.
This image is an heartfelt gift to everybody who got spammed by bronies, who saw his favorite forum defaced and spammed with ponies, that can't stay online more than 30 minutes without an unamusing pony macro or getting the new barely amusing ponyvideo linked on AIM. Rape and murder art was absolutely the best "feel good", cathartic, pic we could dedicate to them, in fact anything outside ABSOLUTELY EXCESSIVE would have been unamusing and truly off the mark.

This is not about MLP. In fact I have never seen the show, have no intention of doing so, and can completely understand why seeing so much related to it everywhere you go would be annoying. It is about the nature of the pic itself (and no I don't mean that it's gorn) and your attitude about it. In that sense, the subject matter (meaning, the show or character or product it was attacking) is irrelevant to my feelings.
I simply find the pic utterly tasteless. Not that it is is gorn, necrophilia, rape, etc. per se (although that is bad enough) but that it was made at all, why it was made, and how you reacted to people who were offended by it. As others have said, there are lines which shouldn't be crossed, even in satire, and you crossed one. You claim it was not a joke, but you certainly seemed to get your jollies from how everyone reacted to it, both positive and negative. Satire is not beyond criticism, and even setting that aside, a mean-spirited attack, however cathartic, is IMO worthless and immoral. Just as the admins of FA should have known better than to make a banner like they did, you should have known better than to make such a pic. Like them, you knew exactly what would happen (albeit perhaps not the exact reactions or their extent), yet you did it anyway. You did it as some sort of protest against the prevalence of MLP, yet all it comes across as is something done for shock value and deliberately stir up drama. Even if the show or certain segments of its fandom deserved that, that doesn't make your actions justifiable--two wrongs don't make a right. It just makes you look no better than the bronies. In fact it makes you look like a troll.
Just as bad, or actually worse to me, is your overall attitude toward your watchers. Yes, clearly you are not beholden to their likes, interests, or opinions, at least no farther than in whether you can make money when alienating so many, and since you seem to have a lot of watchers who either loved and applauded the pic, or didn't care because they love the rest of your art, you don't really need to worry what they think. But, that doesn't mean it's okay to throw common courtesy and decency out the window in how you treat other people. You claim you want to hear all opinions, including criticisms...yet several times on this page and both versions of the pic, you mocked, belittled, and derided people who "didn't get the joke/satire", were "butthurt", "didn't pay attention to the warning", or were either "closet bronies" or "big name artists throwing their names around". Never once did you seem to lend their opinions any merit, or think that maybe the reason they were upset was not what you were attacking, but the way you were attacking or the fact you were attacking anything at all.
In the end, I have to agree with both TheMaskedLion and TwilitDawnKnown--this isn't about MLP since as I said I have never seen the show, never will, and don't even like it, nor is it about the gorn itself. It's about what it says about you as a person. You can say you want to shock people, that you're trying to provide catharsis, and spout whatever Aristotelian virtues you like, but in the end it still comes down to you mistreating people, particularly your watchers, encouraging people to be hateful for laughs, and finding things like rape and necrophilia and violence funny. You come across as an insulting troll at worst, an elitist, persecuted True Artist at best. I could care less what you make nasty pics about...the simple truth is, why would I want to watch someone who makes nasty art at all, let alone who does so for such inane reasons, in such a vindictive way, all while laughing at the Internet drama he creates, hiding behind the satire label, mocking those you've appalled, and generally not acting like a very nice person.
You may have thought you were just providing laughs, helping people let off steam, making a point, and protesting the MLP-takeover while giving the bronies what you believed they deserve, but to me, you just came across as contemptuous and arrogant. You make great art, but that is not enough reason for me to continue watching you--I have unwatched other artists with great art before, because I can always find great art elsewhere but I do have principles, and that includes not being interested in art, no matter how good, if it made by a person who I do not respect. To say I am disappointed in you is an understatement.
Feel free to accuse me of infringing on your free speech all you like, of trying to throw my name around as important, or of being a closet brony; personally I could care less what you think of me. I just thought you should know that people may be deserting you, not because they love the show, have a thing against gorn, or are prima donna popufurs, but because...they simply don't like the message you're sending or what you seem to stand for as a person.
Another good criticism would have been that this picture is boring and old, as those gruesome satirical depictions have been already done to DEATH in underground art communities, but nobody complained about that.
The people crusading about a cartoon character being subjected to crimes got mocked for their irrelevance and for using arguments already old in the '90 (i should actually say, the '70), the defeat of those argument is also one of the CULTURAL BASIS OF FURRY FANDOM, check the story of Omaha The Cat Dander's publication.
Sasuga lying about this being pedo porn (which it wasn't since no character look like a child, and look an behold, the character isn't even a FICTIONAL child to add blood on the open wound) got called for being an attention whoring liar, whom she is.
People who said "this is too far" got replied: true, we know, that was out intention when we went to full on crazy cartoon violence, we warned by putting a cropped banner and a warning link. Of course we are not sorry about it, or we wouldn't have done it in the first place, like i answered to Scale: a more toon-y style could have made this funnier, but we aren't toon-y artists.
Then there was the people who smartly avoided or close the image and didn't care about it at all. They didn't reply at all, maybe some unwatched us: kudos to them.
And then there was the avalanche of people who felt this was stupid fun, and laughed with us, that's my audience, i love them, i want to have internet babies with them.
Which leaves us with the real question in discussion: are people allowed to be ignorant and stupid and complain un-answered and un-mocked? I firmly believe not.
I firmly believe that this pointless, ignorant, "background noise" -forever munching the same 2000 years old arguments, stupid, uncaring, unquestioning, who strongly believe they are important because aesthetically their blog posts look the same as ones written by an actual scientist, an actual theologists, or an actual journalist, or simply somebody with actual interesting genuine opinions- is actively working on making internet irrelevant as an container of ideas and opinions, and very responsible of making the furry fandom less interesting and imaginative as a creative community, and should be fought tooth and nail with words (or lulz and mockery, ad they are called on the internet), because the other way to fight them, silencing (censorship), is morally repulsing.
The first time you commissioned me it was an angelic lion with oversize genitals, i really liked the idea you were going after, even if i'm really not into big genitalia not christian imagery at all. And guess what, the same useless background noise went to tell me i'm tasteless, a sellout, and that i was about to cross a line, even to having a friend tell me, literally:"i knew sooner or later you would draw fucked up shit on FA". The point is: i recognize that siding in favor of the background noise is an easy way out, arguing is hard, wearing the troll mask is hard, being not 100% popular looks like doing something bad. But know that, by siding with the noise, you must accept a world where only absolutely idea-less, pure image with no content, as harmless as pointless art can survive.

I am so glad you can feel good about yourself and pat yourself on the back for leading some grand crusade against censorship by...creating snuff porn of MLP. And that you can convince yourself you're doing something good by comparing an image of an angel that, while offensive to certain fundamentalist religious people, was done beautifully, tastefully, and to celebrate the divine as well as things of a sexual nature...to this pic, which you admit was made out of malice and to stir up drama, and which has no redeeming features whatsoever, and which is meant only to be funny to certain segments who will laugh at anything crude that tears apart something they hate.
Simple answer: you can think you're trolling in order to fight for freedom of expression, but you're still a troll, and I don't associate with trolls because I don't find trolling funny. End of story. And this particular image is indeed "fucked up shit". I am not asking for a Hello Kitty internet. In fact I am not asking for anything. I just think that anyone who can draw this sort of thing, or laugh at it, is not someone I have any interest in or respect for any longer.
You are free to draw it, whether for shits and giggles or to make some grand point, and I am free to not watch you because I find it tasteless and pointless. I am certainly not a person to want to simply accept the background noise and never try and change views, or I would not have commissioned that angel piece--I just think there are better ways to do it than being deliberately abrasive and nasty, and that claiming you are doing so in order to preserve your artistic vision and make some sort of moral stand, is simply hiding behind sophistry to excuse your maliciousness and lack of sophistication and common courtesy.
I don't want nothing but harmless, empty imagery. But pushing boundaries and fighting for change is not the same thing as thumbing your nose at others because they like something you hate, and your mockery of your watchers isn't you standing up to ignorant people--it's you refusing to see that just because you can cross a line doesn't mean you should. You think you needed to go too far to make your point because you fancy yourself some kind of avant-garde rebel. That's fine. But I don't want any part of your rebellion, because not only am I not sure it's even needed, you're going about it the wrong way, in the wrong place (meaning the Net), and in a way that isn't going to win you any converts, just more of the sniggering troll-choir you already have won.

You look at the people who can understand and like your imagery, i look at the people who laughed and had a good time (200 people watched an account with basically just THAT SINGLE PICTURE). Saying that, you can keep the illusion of your moral high ground, while i look at the reality of my work as an artist.

The reality of your work is that you believe you can get away with anything in the name of art, and damn the consequences. That will get you into trouble someday.
The fact 200 people have the utter lack of taste to like the pic or find it funny is not a very good argument. And you miss the point: even if I agreed that what I like and what you drew are both across the line, you admit no words can justify what you did...yet you did it anyway. We both wanted to change views; the difference is mine was something beautiful while yours is ugly. And that while you are using the excuse of fighting censorship to have juvenile fun attacking a show which did no harm to you, and people who did no harm to you, I was trying to combat something that is actually harmful, the narrow-minded views of many people, particularly religious ones, about sex.
I fail to see what is moral about your picture, so stop trying to pretend you are doing something noble. Frankly I actually see this pic as a waste of your considerable and amazing artistic talents. Which is a shame.
I made this picture because i think pony spammers are annoying and people who got annoyed by them would get a kick out of it (they did). Some people got offended, ok, that was expected too, because you can't make something snarky without making some people unhappy. And you can't draw porn without making some people uneasy, and yours is pretty out of the line for most.
Since you seemed somebody who got really interested into thinking about those issued i thought you did some thinking about it in more general terms that simply "i'm ok with what i like and i defend that as the right boundary of decency" up to the next level "i'm ok that people have a different decency boundary than mine, and i defend their freedom". If you don't do that step, you're stuck in 18th century thinking, and i have no interest in arguing with that.
Also, artist in the '60-'70 fought with people thinking like you, and won. This made furry fandom existence possible.
But by all means, continue to wear your sad badge of honor as a persecuted True Artist. I'm sure your many sycophants will praise you to the skies (just because they want more porn), soothe your wounds, and tear me a new one. I am used to that and don't really care, because you're the one who's exposed his true self.

Disagreeing with (the true meaning of today’s definition of “offended”) what someone else thinks of what you like or believe in gives you an opportunity to display to the world the type of person who likes that thing or is a believer in it.
I saw the picture, was a little stunned by it, but after a moment of making sure that what I was seeing was what was actually there, I shrugged and moved on without comment.
People who start riots or make loud and dramatic displays (such as posting I AM LEAVING journals) before leaving the party are definitely not folks who believe in “Different Strokes for Different Folks”. Easily-led fanatics.
Sometimes art, even cheap and crude one, pushes some not-so-nice spots. Learning to accept that not everyone can confirm to our idea of "cool and subtle" means being able to live in a free, peaceful, and modern world.
And i liked the underscore on "led". A lot.
I remember that day when I realized that I disliked a popular actor only because my parents disliked him. When I examined my own reasons for disliking the actor … I found that I really didn’t have any.
It’s quite right to share your community’s values, but only after examining them from the "for" and "against" viewpoints and then honestly asking yourself “Do I really believe in this, or am I just lemming-like “following the crowd”?
When we are children those who take care of us, our parents, our siblings, or whoever, pretty much shelter us from anything that disagrees with their view of the world, their idea of what is right or wrong -- and there is nothing wrong with that so long as they are honest about believing in those views and not merely being a shut-your-mouth-and-don’t-express-any-opinion follower.
Having a different opinion or being different from everyone else (who is not?) does empower the person with the "right of a thug" to bash down everyone else’s opinions or choices in life. And this is especially true regarding artistic expression since no two people have ever lived the same lives or shared the exact same emotional responses and so what they have to express can only be different from everyone else's artistic expressions.
While some people physically become adults, not all of them mentally become adults. One of the markers of adulthood is accepting the unalterable fact that every single human being on this planet is different from everyone else. So when we see an artwork created by one of those people who are different from us … well they and it are different without being wrong.
Yeah, “led” since quite a few opinionated people tend to only spout the opinions of the particular group they are a member of.
Now, talking about such things on an image that is a mindless joke feels out of place, but the principle is all encompassing.
I mocked instead of just taking note of the displeasure, all the people who directly managed repercussions like unwatching (or knowing people who's going to do that, or "great artist"). Menacing people to stop drawing and doing art is censorship because no real damage or crime is ever done on a piece of paper, and the fact that the menace is utter weightless adds laughable stupidity all over the implicit bad intentions.
To one degree or another we are all followers of some cause or interest (a particular video game, a music group, a genre of book, Furry, etc.).
I just want to say in public that my respect for you as a person (I already respect and envy you quite a bit for your artistic ability) has grown significantly because of the civility, intelligence and patience you have displayed here towards trolls, the witless and your gentle handling of the innocent.

Sometimes even in the most interesting places of internet there is really too much of a nihilistic, gloom-for-gloom's-sake attitude and imagery. The new ponies look so cheesy they are a good retaliation against that. Sort of a reminder that no matter how desensitized you think you are, there is still imaginary stuff which can catch you off guard and an unbreakable longing for happy images. I may be alone on this but personally I think most of the boards I read are better off now that pony reaction images are scattered between the usual crudeness. I can understand hating the implied advertising but I don't see how they detract from the content any more than the other memes.
But I also understand this is just an *image* made out of annoyance, and nothing more than that. Everybody hates something. Now if only all disagreements could be settled with an image...
Besides, as I said in my own comment - the show, the franchise and the people adoring
this crap pretty much just plain old suck-a-doodle. Get over it.
