This isn't so much an epiphany as it is me yelling at no one and yet everyone because i'm not yelling at the people I want to be yelling at. (Confusing I know.)
When I see someone saying, "Ugh, I hate this new update," or, "This new stuff is stupid." I don't believe them saying it is stupid. I see them saying that they are scared of change. Why would I make such a big jump for disliking and scared? Well because it doesn't need to be a big, hardly noticeable, "update" in the first place. Every time I see someone saying, "Ewwww, this is so stupid now." I really see them saying such such more along the lines of, "Why can't things just stay the way they are? I don't what to be put in this changing world because I'm scared I won't know how to understand it."
Isn't that why because that complain don't like updates? Because they don't understand it and don't know how to contort it to the way they want like they were so accustomed to? Well sorry to break the news but change is irrelevant, regardless of where you are. In fact looking at our time frame in the worlds history, we wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for change. Shocking. I know.
However, instead of constantly fretting the next installment of new hardware or even the newest method of solving an equation why not try to understand it? You don't need to be in school to learn how to work with something new. You would find things a lot more simpler if only you took the time to understand it, things are changing not to make you mad or to make you feel like you are inferior, it's used to help you and make things easier on you. It may not seem that way now, but think back, when you were a little kid and you were just learning how to do math, wasn't it hard? Now you are all grown up and can't imagine it ever being hard in the first place. All you need to do is try it. If you don't understand simply ask someone for help, it doesn't mean you are any less intellectual then you were, it just shows that you want to further your knowledge in whatever field you are struggling in.
On a side note, I don't like change anymore then the next person but regardless of how I feel or you feel. There is next to nothing we can do about it. We have to accept whatever it is we are dealt and make the best of it. You can whine and complain until your hearts content but it's very seldom that it's going to change anything at all other then making you look like you are incapable of trying new things or learning how to function in our ever growing society.

for example public travel in my country has changed and in 2012 you cant buy a bus ticket or a train ticket first you have to buy a card that doesnt have any money on it, than charge it. evry time you log into a train it cost you 80 cents boarding costs and when you exit the train and forget to check out of it you loose a fee you would normaly get back when you exit.
those old people even have trouble with the train ticket machine that has been around for years, imagen a system no one understands that costs more money and has been hacked already.
instead keeping both systems the worst system is being kept.
