***UPDATE-COMMISSION SLOTS ALL FULL!!! [Thank you so much for the immediate response, I am both surprised and extremely grateful.]***
(In all cases, communication must be through e-mail [pseudomanitou-AT-gmail.com} so I have a record and a "paper trail" to work with.)
1. In all cases, specify from the very start if you wish for me to draw in a more cartoonish style, or a my stylized realism. State if you wish to have typography designed into the image or not. All artwork will be unsigned unless you specifically request my signature.
2. I will start the sketch process without payment. Once a sketch is shown and approved, I require half the total payment. No additional work will start before that half payment is received. If you do not pay, the sketch is mine and I will do whatever I want with it (including possibly 'vandalizing' the sketch to warn others of a dead-beat commissioner).
3. Once the first half of payment is received, I will make any corrections you require. IMPORTANT: we must get the details correct on the sketch -- once I start inking, corrections are difficult for me to make, and could become an added expense to you.
4. From there on, I will ink, scan, and digitally color the final piece. I will then submit a -small- preview of the final file and await the rest of my payment.
5. Once final payment is received, I will make any corrections required in the coloring and design, with exception -- I will debate any changes that I feel are detrimental to the overall artwork. But don't worry -- I'm not one of those types who are overly attached to their "children".
6. When all loose ends are tied up, I can e-mail you a final image at whatever size/resolution/file-type that can be handled. For additional money on full commissions, I can mail you the inked artwork, a CD containing all digital files used, and a few 11x14 prints. For badge commissions, a printed and laminated badge is included and will be mailed out for no additional cost, so long as the mailing address is within the US.
Prices...
$25 - Badges and profile-pics/icons will be about
(I will not do full figure on badges and icons. Full bodies are full commissions.)
For full commissions, the starting rate is $70, and climbs with any additional efforts I can see within the piece.
example of $70 effort: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6493594/
example of $140 effort: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6354195/
NOTE: if you give me more creative license to do whatever I want, the price will drop, despite whatever effort my final idea costs me. In all cases, I will negotiate final prices till we arrive at what we feel is fair. Once the price is approved, the price is set in stone ( I carve it on tablet in my office).
Anything involving nudity, sex, or fetishism is at my discretion. I've been remarked as 'rather tame' in most standards, though I will take anything as far as I see the need to. If you want symbolism of sex, sexual identity, or whatever -- I believe I can do a fair representation. If you want wank material to stir the passions of Rosie Palm and her five sisters, I'm not the artist you want. I'm actually kind of bad at drawing that kind of thing, in fact.
Additional projects...
I have done banners, logos, CD-covers, flyers, and so on in the past. In fact, that is my professional skill more than illustration. But each of those jobs are very specific and must be price quoted individually.
Deadlines...
I will do my best to create a work-flow that will wrap up projects in less than a month. Such a workflow is also depending on the commissioning party. If it takes a week to reply to e-mails; if it takes two weeks to get approval on a sketch; if it takes three weeks to receive payment -- that time is in addition to the month it takes. Any artwork that is time sensitive (for instance, a badge wanted in time for a birthday gift), will increase the price depending on the time given -- that includes projects wanted in a month. The extra cost is for lack of flexibility.

FA+

thing is, I like to give charater references, some info, and artistic freedom ranging somehwere in the upper regions of 'max'. mostly because I want to see what other artists can do with ym creations. so far I have yet to be disappointed really. :) maybe because I don't know what to expect to begin with.

somethign with those two, to be specific.
now thing is, I might not be able to pay before two weeks. have to wait for a new paycheck, and then refill my paypal. if that's cool with you so far we can take it to email, I guess. :)
By all means, shoot me an e-mail. Due to the delay, I may have to kick you onto the next list of commission slots -- but that means you'll be the first. So... send me an e-mail, and I'll see what I can do.
Thanks!
But moot point -- the slots are full for now. Sorry.
