Personally? I stand by the decision that the SCOTUS made about TAD's case just as much as I stand by the same execution that happened the same night that nobody cared about (Lawrence Brewer). With that last appeal TAD made, the Supreme Court took 3 HOURS as opposed to how long they normally take (usually a quick look-over) so I feel that if there was any hiccup in the prosecution, it would have been made that night or within the past two decades.

Am I saying the death penalty is good? I really don't know how I feel about it to be honest. I feel that if anybody has issues with this case or the death penalty in general that it gives them a kick in the ass to stop voting for the next contestant on American Idol and vote/work for something that holds more meaning and importance.

but dont you think the Troy Anthony Davis case was thrown a bit out of proportion?

Personally, I think his case was used as scapegoat used by the media just avoid all the other important economic issues the U.S is going through.

I agree with this here. But as far as the TAD case goes..There was a lot of bull that happened between the initial trials and the appeals. I personally agree with the death penalty. If you take a persons life for anything other than the defense of self, country or fellow man, then I believe your life to be forfeit. Thats harsh but its what I believe. As for the protestors...a man could kill five people on live national tv and there would be protestors lining up to save his life. I personally believe he was guilty but then again I do not have all the info. A problem with life in prison is as a nation we can not afford it. We need to find a safe way to get free labor out of those people instead of feeding three times a day and housing them and such with no profit from it.

but judging from all of the evidence given and the other B.S statements, I think he might have been innocent.

Think about, he was the only inmate that stuck to his side story and didn't change it for 20 years. (Could be wrong about this though.) Us americans are unhappy the way our govenment is heading, and what better way to keep us distracted from all of this?

Regarding the Death penalty, I personally believe that justice should be served, but not through the act of taking someone else's life just because of what they did.

but then again ,that's where other morals would be sadly thrown into this topic.

My objection to the death penalty isn't moral, it's because this kind of case happens. Better to not put anyone to death than have a single incorrect conviction.
