Is there a better word than "Furry"?
I was thinking of "Anthroist", has anybody said that before? lol
It's more universal than "Furry", because it's not restricted to fur. I just can't identify with "Furry", it feels....I don't know..bleh...
I also don't identify with the cuteness thing a lot of furries seem to do, where are all the badass looking suits?
Just the way I feel, anybody feel the same?
Maybe I'm just too "mundane" for this LOL

FA+

but lately everyone just refers it as Furry.
So, you'd have to be more specific, Anthropomorphic. Which can apply to any non-human thing. The Brave Little Toaster is anthropomorphic.
So then, Anthropomorphic Animal. Although, you YOURSELF are not an anthropomorphic animal. you're a FAN of anthropomorphic animals. Or, an anthropomorphic animal fanatic.
You're a member of a "fandom" of anthropomorphic animal enthusiasts. Fandom, of course, is an abbreviation for fanatic kingdom.
So, anthro is short for Anthropomorphic Animal Fanatic Kingdom, in this case. Though, in its typical use, it doesn't refer to the fanatic or the fanatic kingdom, but to the creature itself.
Either way, you're a dork, and anthro makes about as much sense as furry. :P
But anthro artist or anthro enthusiast seem to roll off the tongue a lot easier.
I also always hated the word "anthro" because it's like cutting a morpheme in two. The complete term is "anthropo." And, it means humans. Which doesn't make any more sense than furry. It's an abbreviation, just like furry. I mean, at least we're not "members of the funny animals fanatic kingdom."
Someday i will go with them for a feral looking snow leopard.
I associate to that more than furry because furry has like, no clear definition/is so so so broad.
And I agree with you - it's rare to find badass looking suits, or artists that are more complex than drawing goodlooking/random movie situation/omgcute/equality for all just on face value pics...it's rare to find an artist/suit that involves more on the complexity of a human being and deep stuff, etc.
kind of makes finding an alternative seem foul x3
Holy buffness Batman!
Can't say "Zoo" by itself, of course.
hmm...
haha, Animorph :P ahh, the 90's.
Therian, maybe, could work. It implies a more spiritual connection, but it sounds cooler. "Secular Therian"?
