Occupy Wall Street

We need an FA account to show support for Occupy with the avatar. This would not be a show of fandom support for the movement, as this would have an substantively staining effect, but rather a way for each individual to express whether or not they are aware and stand-with the ideas it supports.
In the spirit of the movement, it would have the account details (it's own gmail address, gmail password, FA password) posted with information at the top. If even 20% of its content is vandalism, then 80% of submissions, shouts, and journals would be true to the cause. The only real concern is that it could be taken down by someone; however, that would simply show the myopic nature of those who oppose its ideas.
As to the ideas behind it, I think we know about as much as we can surmise from the nebulostrosity that is the Tea Party. It needs no explaining, only depth and volume.
... and I'm too tired and have too much to do tomorrow. So, lol.
Nice rainy night in Boston, crickets in the grass and raindrops on leaves in the suburbs of Brookline. That's one thing I've missed about the East Coast.. the forests :3

What they fail to realize is this: those same people that they are openly despising? same situation in the 60's....look where those people who wanted to "change the world" wound up in these "institutions" and "corporations" that they so loved to hate. It is a vicious cycle with barren fruit for it's labor. These protesters want success? want to send a message? Burn down the white house, THAT will make the message loud and clear that the American people are pissed, they want jobs, they want something done and they want it done NOW.
Hell screw the lawyers, openly declare war! that oughta show those corporate bastards.

Only the tip o' the iceburg mates...
But regardless of any income increases I'm always one payment away from losing utilities or the house, frequently ill, going anywhere I'd lose everything.
Well designed trap I'd give them that, but they look a bit flammable.
Ugh but don't compare those tea-baggers to corruption protesters, the irony is sickening.
nb4 "commie pink bastards, monopolies never hurt anyone!", etc BS.. etc BS..
I fear nothing will change until the mass scammers are put on pikes.
I personally am offended that they've hijacked national imagery, icons, and phrases for their cause. Suddenly, quoting Paine means you're a biblically driven neo-con, and sporting the Gadsen means you'd rather secede.
Like they'd raise taxes on the traitor companies and cut taxes to US job based Co's.
But they're nearly extinct.
Thanks Faux News (division of *coughmafiacough* News Corp).
Then of course they take the directionless anger and used it to destroy defenses against poverty & screwed up congress.
At least enough people remained to not allow privatizing Social Security, that would've just plain given peoples retirements to wall street thieves.
im really surprised that this is the first journal ive seen about it, i thought furs would be generally all over this "taking down the man" stuff
Thanks from France !
It is going to be a tricky situation especially since elections are coming up soon. If the government officials start to support these acts then they may begain to loose monetary support for their campaigns. It is going ot be interesting on how this unfolds in the next few weeks and to see if it actually makes a difference.
Oh, and if you haven't yet... get off the Internet and go occupy Boston. (Kidding, I know not everyone can... but I'm sure any way you could support would be welcome/appreciated).
But i'd ahve to say that all of the ideas you've posted here could be started by you yourself. :)
I say go for it, if you can provide the neccessary facts and knowledge.
