Before I say anything I just want to make it clear that I'm normally a carefree and fun guy. It's just that sometimes I have a bad day and want to let it out online. From what I've heard it's good for stress relief.
AAAARRRRGGHHHH!!!!
I hate the Houston Marathon! I don't make hating major sporting and athletic events a habit, but everyone has to hate at least something.
Let me start at the beginning:
I live in Houston, TX, The Big H, America's 4th most populated city. There's a section of the city between uptown and downtown everyone calls "The Loop" because major highways go around it. "The Loop" is where I work. Now, the idiots who planned out the route for the marathon decided to have it go around the part of The loop I work in.
What does this mean?
I HAVE A FREAKING POLICE BARRICADE BETWEEN MY HOME AND MY JOB!!!
I was supposed to punch in at 8:00 and end up punching in at 9:30 because I had to drive for over an hour and a half trying to find an end to the marathon route. You'd think in a city spanning 601.7 square miles they'd think of a better place to set a 26 mile track than around one the bussiest parts of Houston.
