The shadows of night



Boredom has struck again,
The night is my only friend,
Shadows creeping all around,
Crawling on the ground,
They have come for what is theirs,
I hate those evil stares,
Please just let things be,
Are you really going to take me,
I don’t want the pain,
What do I have to gain,
Where is the light I once knew,
The heart was once true,
This place so dark,
I try and make my mark,
The shadows close in,
I can not win,
I fight with all I got,
Like a little tot,
Afraid of what’s there,
Hoping my life they will spare,
Dragging me down,
In their little town,
I can not fight,
Praying for a little light,
Help me make my life begin.
