Jack and Arctic bought supplies and continued on their journey. When passing through The Forest of Sacred Shadows they hear growling and moans from the treetops. As they travel through the depths of the forest the shadows seemed to move and watch them as they neared the deepest darkest part of the forest. They spot light coming from the brush ahead and find a house overrun by shadows and plants that have claimed the house as their own. Jack and Arctic entered the house and it was alot bigger on the inside. Jack saw a small rawhide satchel labeled "Madman's Bag of Tricks". Jack opened the satchel and saw that the inside of it was just as big as the inside of the house. He reached in and pulled out a leather bound book with golden pages and golden letters of the cover that read "The Shimmering Death" He opened the book and the pages came to life and flew out of the book and slashed a table into bits with such speed the only thing that was seen was an occasional gleam of light. Jack took the bag and hung it on his shoulder with the strap and as the satchel touched his shoulder the shadows in the house rose to attack. Jack saw what the shadows where up to and opened the book which cleared the house in a matter of seconds. Arctic looked out the window and saw shadow people closing in around the house. Jack smashed the window out and pulled a small bag of coins from the satchel. Jack threw the bag into the crowd and it exploded sending golden shining shrapnel into the shadow people. Jack looked into the satchel and pulled out 3 more bags of coins and ran out the door. He tossed the bags into the forest and drew his sword as his eyes began to glow. The shadow people kept marching as if they had no other purpose but to destroy. Jack looked around and saw that each shadow person had a shadow leading from them to a clearing behind the advanzing army. Jack pulled another coin bomb and used it to clear the way and advanced on the clearing slashing all the shadows in his path. He arrives at a grave with a scythe sticking out of the ground. Jack saw the writing on the tombstone that read "The Night Bringer AKA The Madman Of Shadows". As Jack read the final word a shadowy figure rose from Jack's shadow and stood on the grave. It pulled the scythe from the ground and watched as Jack's eyes glowed an bright green. The shadow swung the scythe up in the air and day turned into night. Arctic appeared at the edge of the clearing and stopped when she saw Jack and the shadow. Jack charged and watched as shadows grabbed his sword when the blades clashed. Jack released his weapon and jumped back as the scythe consumed his sword. A voice echoed from the shadow and said "Shadow consumes all". Jack held out his hand and fire appeared in his hand. The shadow looked up as it started to rain. Jack's fire ball fizzled out as thunder and rain fell upon the forest. Jack watched as the shadow took a step forward. Jack prepared for the impact but to his amazement the shadow charged Arctic. She doged and countered but her attack phased through the shadow. Jack stepped between the 2 and shoved the shadow back. Anger grew within Jack and lightning struck Jack as if it responded to his anger. Jack held out his hand and lightning jumped from his hand to the ground. Jack had unlocked the power he was born to control. Jack could hear the thunder before it would roll. Jack charged and ripped the shadow's arm off with lightning fast speed.
