Athus... I never met you in person, and I didn't really know you that well, but I knew you were a great guy. You once drew 'Ette for me as a surprise, urging me to come to a con one year. I'm sorry I never did. I wanted to thank you in person.

I don't believe in the supernatural or an afterlife, which doesn't leave me with very many comforting words for situations like this. The number of lives you touched is a testament to your character, and I wish I had known you better.
