Update + Tipsy Beaver = Fun Times!

Hey everyone! And by everyone, I mean whoever decides to read my journals lol.
It's been about a month and a half since I last wrote here. Come to think of it, I haven't even done anything remotely "furry" since Luci's BBQ. During that time I was in a rut since my best friend took a year of absence from Pharmacy to move to Toronto, but she may live there permanently with her boyfriend and her younger sister. And since school has taken up so much of my time, I barely have decent time to see Devon either... so that didn't help either. I was a sad panda. T_T;;
It wasn't until
t-milk coaxed me out of my hermit habits last Friday to enjoy some fish and chips (it was supposed to be pizza lol) that things started getting better from there. I realized that people still care about me, regardless how busy or far away they are. Arianne finds time to Skype and text me everyday even when she knows I'm busy. Then Devon had the bright idea of visiting me for the October 21 weekend... so I get to see my DH soon! *squee*
Then I pulled off 92%, 94%, 95% and a 100% on my four major exams I had last week, with 100% on all my labs I did. I also had two successful venipunctures (< 5min) even though I got double poked last blood lab (@$$!). We get to start using ESR vacutainers, finger lancets and these cute little heparin microtainers on Monday. I'm also on the fence of transferring to University of Alberta after this program... but I guess I'll worry about that later xD
I received my blue belt in Aikido too. Got my acrylic ball and my costume in the mail this week too. Bought some Nike Free Livestrong shoes and Underarmour gloves for my parkour course I'm taking in December. Got my bursary finalized and a cheque yesterday.
So was there any bad news? My left arm is slightly sore and swollen from my Hepatitis B vaccination yesterday, and I have two tiny hematomas on my forearms from my Tuburculosis Mantoux tests. I've been double tapped more than necessary and I'm already sick of needles. In a month I have to take another blood chemistry test to make sure I have enough Hep B immunoglobulins. Awrr. :(
But in spite my slight whine, I'm having a very good week and an even better month once my Mom's and brother's birthday pass and Devon's highly appreciated visitation. Commence cuddlesleeps! ^^
So I'm going to enjoy my weekend with a good friend from class boozing it up since I didn't even get tipsy at the BBQ. I know, crazy right? I'm going to seek out this Bacon Vodka (or any alcohol that is bacon flavored) since I was late to know about it. Or enjoy rum and cokes/Old Tyme ginger beer. Hey, I think I earned it. :D
Peace out and have a good day fuzzbutts!
