I know what you mean; when I was in Georgia for AWA, I attended a Brony panel with my Mom in tow. She's as open-minded and understanding a person as you could ever ask for, but my brain nonetheless sort of panicked at having her along to discover the peculiar phenomenon that is FiM fandom. ;w;
