Video Games: Inverted or Non-Inverted?
Heh what I find weird is how people can make such a big deal over a little thing like this... and how I read those who are non-inverted, how they can't seem to comprehend it for some reason, like their brain cannot process this information... wonder why that is? Though I know not everyone is like that but they sure come off as confused and also a bit of an ass about it too.
Anyway... yeah. I just wanna know two things here I guess, maybe more I dunno... depends.
1. Are you inverted or non-inverted? ( Video game consoles. Y-axis )
2. I am use to inverted. Think I should try to adjust and get use to non-invert controls?
Just heh yeah... I dunno. I tried for a bit recently, haven't been gaming much at the moment though. I think I started getting use to it. I wonder if I will end up being a better player if I get use to non-invert controls.
Another thing I notice is that people say inverted is meant for aircraft which of course makes sense in all our minds it seems... yet... those use to non-invert still can't comprehend it when it comes to 3rd or 1st person, playing a character. In a way, inverted is the normal for aircraft so... hmm.

Translated into the English-speaking Latinos understand-brasinheiro:
Hey, stop playing to get this Pokemon Red or Blue or Green you're thinking that there subliminal messages in any game, and this city Lavender
And if you're used to inverted, stick with it. It's what works for you. It's nothing more than a controller pref which you want.
I think it should be pretty easy to understand; I'm surprised you say some just don't seem to 'get it'. If you play inverted, you position yourself as if you were directly behind the character you're controlling. If you were standing behind a friend and wanted to make them look up, you pull their head back. Look down, you shove your hand into their head and it goes down. You are focussed at the back of the character's head. Non-inverted makes more sense if you're in the character's skull itself, and are focussing on the front of the head rather than the back.
Most games give you an option to change. I guess some might not and you'll have to get used to a certain method, but you won't be any better or worse for using inverted/non-inverted Y-axis controls. It's nothing more than a preference.
Same thing for X-axis controls. While I can get used to whichever (It's not often an option in jRPGs), it comes down to whether your brain thinks of it as pointing the camera a particular direction or swinging the cameraman around so he's pointing a certain way
If you read the comments on the link I posted on both Youtube and Dtoid you will see what I mean by those with non-inverted just don't seem to get it. They sound confused and can't understand the concept of pulling someone's head from behind and all. They always think in front with the eyes, saying I look up if I wanna look up with my eyes. But I give the whole, well your eyes in the back have to roll down to look up. And eh yeah... they seem confused, I dunno.
But I dunno. With how that article said the Splinter-Cell Trilogy, inverted won't be there... who knows when games will take away inverted as an option? Back in the day, inverted was the default... then it changed to non-invert being default so yeah... new gamers being molded to non-invert. I am surprised with all the non-invert people though. It felt like more people would use inverted to me.
But yeah I mean I guess people can use both, even if it does matter on the kind of game. I am always inverted for all games so hmm... yeah. It is interesting to hear of those non-inverted yet seem to do inverted with flying or game depending... hmm I dunno.
I say stick with what feels best for you, the entire discussion is pointless in my eyes anyhow *laughs*
