I swear, I thought this evening would be pretty fun at first. I wanted to go out and enjoy a nice walk. It was good and cool, and I thought it could be relaxing.

Heck no!

It was going to be me, my mom, her boyfriend, his friend, his friend's son, and his coworker's two boys walking with us. We were going to go to the cemetery. Mom and I went ahead so we could scare the two boys (they are 16 and 17 if I'm right). Well, turns out we weren't supposed to be in the cemetery after dark, which sucked. We went ahead and started walking back to the apartments. However, we discussed it, and knew of a trail out through the woods we could go to.

So we went and made our way to that trail. We went down this one old road to get there. Along the way, some guy, who looked like he might have been stoned or drunk, came out as we were walking along. We ignored him for the most part and continued walking. My mom's boyfriend meets some friend of his and we talk for a few minutes before we go on the trail which was right by us.

We had some laughs going along the way. I think I was the most level-headed out of everyone since I didn't jump or get scared. We were mostly scaring the younger kid for the most part. Anyway, we made our way through the trail, coming to the wooden bridge. At the end of that bridge ended the trail, and had the name of the trail, which I can't even remember. We walked around the open fields that was near there for a few minutes before making our way back.

Along the way back, two of the seven of us went ahead to try to scare us. Somehow, they ended up getting behind us however. I guess they took paths around us, or we just walked by them and didn't notice is. When the came running up, I saw a third person for a couple seconds. It looked similar to one of the two guys that was with us, but was still different looking. As he got a few steps closer, it disappeared. I was a little surprised, but not really jumping out of my shoes or anything.

Anyway, we came back off the trail and went a little further down the road to were an old burnt house was. There was an orange caution sign there that actually looked like a face was bent into it. Needless to say, that was cool and crazy.

So, we were heading back along the way when all of a sudden, we heard a 12-gague shotgun cock by us. It was closest to me as I was by the side of the road walking, which made me jump and move away quickly. All of us had heard it even. Apparently, some guy was there, and there were two other people. One was being held down by the other. The guy with the gun was pointing it at us telling us to "pretty please leave." We called the cops who came over and arrested the guy for lying to the cops and being on someone else's property with a loaded weapon. The cops hadn't found the shotgun though by the time we left.

That is sad though, we can't even go walking and having a family outing without risk of getting shot at. What is the world coming to?


P.S. For my last journal, folks can fairly ignore it. I am still upset with everything in it, but I'm not that bad over it. I did have an upset moment at work which nearly costed me my job if I hadn't been able to keep my mouth shut. However, I still have my job and I have calmed down about it.
