Yeah. I read about it to and it sucks that they have to kill them. Though they did escape after the owner died.

Why couldn't the big cats just be relocated to Big Cat Rescue?

Reminds me of the time where this one guy owned a lion (or a tiger, not sure), was genuinly savvy about it too. No danger of escape or personal harm to anyone. Then one morning he comes home and finds his big kitteh dead, with a note from PETA, "We'd rather animals be free than live in captivity." Motherfucking PETA heretics killed a man's pet "to free it from captivity", despite there being absolutely nothing wrong.

Ugh, it's things like this that strongly make me wish we could kill PETA instead. Or at least put them through some sort of nasty experience to make them think twice before ever trying shit like that again...

Because the d-bag set them free, thus dooming a huge chunk of them. A rural area has no way to handle that many creatures like that, and improperly-tranqed creatures pose an immense risk. One woman with her horse barricaded herself in her barn after a hungry tiger chased them. It was crazy!

Saw this on FNN. Just like Ohio's animal laws are lax, so is the 'capture' policy of those police. It was irresponsible of the guy to release them, thinking they'd escape and be happy. But even more so if there are rare breeds (meaning endangered), for cops to kill them on sight. I wonder if there will be any follow up to killing endangered or protected species? Probably not.

since i am from Ohio i too find it upset as well...i do hope this is a wake up call for the governor about this law need to be change or something.

More on the news tonight. The "sanctuary" was $68,000 in debt and it looks like the guy just snapped. Harrassment by the neighbors and police, too. But the animals were the true losers.

He had just been released from jail for possession of illegal firearms, too.

Wow... here's one ANIMAL that ought to have been put down decades ago for everyon elses's good...
