Panic Time...

Okay, so my financial situation suddenly got WORSE. I now have estimated about $2500 in bills that I have to pay within the next couple of months. This does NOT include my regular bills, like insurance, credit cards, tuition, utilities, etc.
Sooooo... I guess I've gotta FORCE myself out of this art block. I NEED to draw to get by.
I'm catching up on old work, I've gotten one commission done and sent (I hope it arrived okay), another one is but a few marker strokes away (as soon as my Cloud Blue remembers it DOES have ink in it), and the last one is a tattoo design waiting for an email response, since I'm missing a very important detail or three. I have a logo design, too, that I need to work up within the next couple of weeks.
And then there's FC. I'm bringing prints, T-shirts, mugs, bumper stickers, magnets, and buttons for sale. I'll be in the same row as XianJaguar, Dark Natasha, Terrie Smith, Heather Bruton, Marci McAdam, ZhivagoD, Caribou, and DHStein (I have no idea how I lucked out THAT massively), so I'm a little intimidated, but I hope that will be more of a blessing than a curse.
I'm considering doing badges at the con. I was not going to do any art, but... I don't think I can afford NOT to. I don't think I'll have space at my little half-table to do art there, though, so the number available will be VERY limited. Only what I can complete after hours. Which also means I'll have very little (if any) time for socialization. So no bringing my color-changing glowsticks. No parties for me. I MAY bring my Oriental silk robe, though. It would be fun to walk around in, especially with the theme of the con.
I've also got a mass load of auctions up on FurBuy right now for sketches, some limited edition jumbo prints, and a few select originals that I won't be able to put in an art show (which I am sad about, but I need the money NOW). The auctions are here:

God, I hope I make it through this okay... If I can just get through this crunch, if I can just cover the unexpected expenses...

Over the last year, I've become a huge fan of your work.
Sad to hear your financial situation... seems that most of us go through this trouble a couple of times in our life. I myself just paid off over $6,000 in credit card bills. Not fun.
Granted, my debts are nowhere near as bad as others, but I understand your situation.
Hopefully, K'Sharra, the badge commission that you made for me won't be the only K'Sharra original that I own. ^^
And no, no more AC for me unless I move closer to that area of the country. It's way too far away for me, I think the furthest I'd be willing to travel anymore is MFM in TN, and that's a stretch as is.
Will there be a liaison at Anthrocon to help sell your work, there?
In any case, it was an honour to meet you. I hope the future becomes better for you in time.
Best of luck with your debts. I'll try to help when I can.

Imagine, 10 fully-coloured pieces from K'Sharra going for $220 a pop. That's $2,200. That could feed you for a month, and pay your bills.
Even if they were prints, she could get by with charging $25 a pop for those.
The only real thing to overcome is... the artist's block. K'Sharra's art at its best is so whimsical and colourful.
I've seen a painting of a tiger go for $500. And that was a giant poster-size with a carved, stained oak frame. It could have easily been worth more than that.
Find the right customers, find out what they want, what they're looking for, and use that as an inspiration, K'Sharra.
