today I cleaned house, alot, and made a Generator Rex costume for my daughter.... [I'm pleased with it...all parts look cool, I haven't seen it all together on her yet though]....and took her to a boring party at her school [to which she wore last week's Circe costume because Rex wasn't done yet]. She's going to "Boo at the Zoo" in Topeka with some friends tomorrow, so I had to Rush and get the Rex costume done tonight for that.
lol is that short enough?

Yesterday I cooked up a storm and preped a whole lot food for my daughter her friends and us for a beach picnic but as the weather wasn't co-operating we had an under cover outdoor picnic instead, it was great fun and when the sky opened up to moisten our day we had our dessert indoors and played for a few hours on Guitar hero...lots of fun. They ended up staying for dinner too and we still had a lot of fun.
Mind you this morning I the arthritis in my hands played up something chronic but it was well worth it. I like happy days like yesterday. Today I watched my daughter carve a cat face into the pumpin I bought her. It's really cute and well done. Not bad for her first pumpkin. It took me 40 minutes to sort the seeds out onto a drying tray because there were so many of them. Hopefully I'll be able to grow some for myself and she can play with the carving pumpkins all she wants.
Sounds like we all have busy days. *hugs*
arthritis, I keep expecting that to get me, my parents both had enough to complain about by my age, but I haven't had much trouble with it so far. Just a hint now and then to keep me wondering. it's like a wildcat in the bushes stalking behind me or something.
MMMM pumpkin seeds I love em, and pulling them out of all that slimy stringy pumpkin guts is always fun :D we haven't carved our pumpkins yet, we'll probably do it tomorrow. I get the one with warts, I have not yet decided what to carve on it though.
I grew a little pumpkin once. I tried to grow giant pumpkins once and the vine was huge and amazing and I took lots of pictures of it. It grew unbelivably fast, but the squash bugs killed it before it produced any pumpkins. successfully growing a giant pumpkin is definitely on my do-list for the future, sometime.
I've had arthritis since I was 8 but they didn't work that out until I was 30 when a 2nd form of arthritis kicked in.
I'll post a few photo's of my daughters pumpkin soon too.
*hugs*
