Unity 3D

General
I've been working in Unity a lot these days as part of an experimental branch of my job, but I found there just aren't a lot of others I can bounce ideas off of, or ask about certain problem-solving situations. I posted a query or two on my Twitter, but no real bites, that's just too narrow a slice of people.
So, anyone here a fellow Unity user?

computers/devices/net is such a huge part of our lives now, everything that is related to programming is worth to know about at least a little xo3
Database programming
Mainframe programming
website development
PC programming
Game programming
embedded programming
Avionics
You all talking about the graphics APIs and how to change antialiasing without stopping the engine leave me puzzled and confused. Meanwhile, my talking about interrupts and flags in a strictly deterministic environment would puzzle most programmers on the planet.
Breadth of knowledge certain does serve one well when it comes to anything but the most mundane of programming; this is especially true when you inevitably hit the "glass ceiling" of any particular area you are working in, and suddenly find yourself needing to roll up your sleeves and get under the hood waaay more than you expected to in order to accomplish your goal. But that's where half the fun lies.
"Jack of all trades, master of none, certainly better than a master of one."
Generally i try to say at a definitely to late point of the day "Master one field, cover the basics of the rest" or something like that. I mean if you go too general in all things, i think at some point you will hit a wall where you have to get deeper into it just to grasp the whole thing.
This husky should sleep sorry for the wall of text >_<
Been thinking about taking a class on it just to dick around with it.
No less. I've messed with it a little bit (as a part of my aspiration to have such a thing be my job), and so far it's interesting to use, though I do sort of wish I could use the RenderToTexture features in the Pro edition. Guess that's out.
It was somewhat enjoyable to make. I like it because it's compatible with 3ds Max and that's unfortunately the only bloody modelling program I know how to use (curves are evil...)
So what kind of stuff have you made in Unity? Or is that 'classified'?
I haven't used it much for my own projects, but I'm actually teaching it in a class. What scale of a project are you working on?
Unity is soooo much more forgiving of an environment than something like UT.
Echoing above statements, there do seem to be a lot of already answered questions I've had if I go browsing through the forums, but unsure how great it is for getting unanswered questions answered.
I'd be curious about your workflow and tool pipeline. Are you using C# or UnityScript? Blender or one of the $$ apps?
I've been pretty impressed with it, it's great for the simpler indie/mobile/web markets especially.
Surely you meant to type UDK. :T
Also, UDK works for iOS, and you didn't hear it from me, but UDK is going to be released for Android in the future.
In case you still need some help :3
