I don't know what it's like in the rest of the world, but I don't get anyone ringing the doorbell to trick or treat after 7-8 pm. If someone were to ring at 1 am, I would feel perfectly entitled to ignore them.

Not that it matters, I only got two or three people knocking at the door this Halloween... and I ignored them, like I do every Halloween.

Unless it's an open invitation, people don't come to the house and ring around here. You actually have to...bait them.
