Dreamcatcher, Pet Sematary, The Gunslinger, It

I've recently finished these books by Mr. Stephen King. I enjoyed all of them, especially the high tension adventures like "Dreamcatcher" and "It". These are the first King novels I've read, I'm very ready to read more.
I can clearly see why a lot of people would not enjoy his stuff, particularly his writing style. His use of slang kinda fucks with the mood sometimes.
I've always watched the film adaptations of all but The Gunslinger (doesn't exist... yet), and even enjoyed the movies for what they were. It was actually watching "Dreamcatcher" that made me wanna read the book. It was pretty spooky at times, but like the other movies, were devoid of the truly horrifying and intense things read in the books.
I'm also interested in reading up some of Dean Koontz's stuff.

I've never seen the Pet Cemetery movie or read the book, but the rest of those movies/books were very good. My mom owns every single book he's ever made and gets any book he writes hot off the shelf, so I benefited from that for awhile.

Hah, cool. Our friend Rai is also about the same: huge fan and has aaaall the books. My roommie, Green Dragon, is trying to get me to read "Drawing of the Three", next.

Some of my favorite Koontz books are "Tick Tock", "Cold Fire", "Dragon Tears", "The Taking", and "Shadow Fires". A few others that I liked but weren't as good are "The Good Guy", The Husband", and "Dark Rivers of the Heart". Hope you enjoy if you pick up any of thees books.

Thanks! I was told once already about "Tick Tock", so that's two votes for it. I'll keep these in mind.

I recommend The House of Thunder, Phantoms, Darkfall and The Servants of Twilight by Dean Koontz.

As for Stephen King, I rather like Misery and The Mist by him. His shorter novels are his best, IMO, and they don't get any shorter than my third favorite, Cycle of the Werewolf.
