Seriously? Why, will minecraft mods refuse to work on my mac, I can use MCpatcher, texture packs, and custom maps, but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to set up mods on a mac. I'm not asking my computer for much, big trees mod, mine up, mystic ores, industrial craft, buildcraft, and airship mod, that's all I want, possibly portals++, but still, I've looked through craptons of tutorials, and done probably everything they've said, but the mods refuse to work, as you've probably guessed, I'm getting just a wee bit bored with vanilla MC, and I want to enrich my minecraft experience, I usually build my MC houses in trees, ...cause, ya know, that's what tanukis do, and I thought "wow, koel, you know what would be epic? Building a house in a giant tree, like frakin stoopid huge tree" I was rather convincing, so, I looked about and whatched gamechap mod spotlights for about an hour, downloaded all mods deamed epic, and tried setting them up, all I've gotten so far is a big bucket of frakk-all, either I am technology illiterate (which is likely) or my computer hates me (probably not likely)......I can't think of how to end this mini rant so....I dunno....winged smartcars....or something, peace.
CREEPERCHOCOLATEBOOM
random name ftw
lets say this holds a texture and a sound but also some classes
and its set up like this
CREEPCHOCOLATE.zip
creepchocolate
/put in minecraft.jar
/ mob
/sound
/useless crap
for this you tell the mc patcher to read from
/put in minecrft.jar onwards by clicking it and done
how ever if its like this
/put in minecraft.jar
/classes
/mobs
/sound
your better off going to the minecraft folder in applacation sapport ten to the .bin folder from there right click and use your archive extract to get the folder move the class files into the minecraft.jar folder from there
AND THIS IS IMPORTAINT
select ALLL of the files inside the minecraft.jar folder that you made right click then compress XXX items then move the new ARCHIVE.ZIP out then rename it to minecraft.jar and boom done
hopes this helps
