Hey everyone. I hope all is well. Well another Youmacon has come and gone. I must say I had a better time this year than I did last year. My friends and I left Thursday afternoon and got there at a really good time. Like 7:30. That gave us time to check in and have dinner and walk around the hotel. After that I helped my friend set up her booth at that dealers room then after that we all went back to the room to hang out n goof off. Friday was a pretty good day. I went to a video game booth called Video Games New York. I have seen them at FanExpo and I always wanted to see what stuff they had. They have a lot of rare games and classic games as well. I manage to find Sonic Advance 2 because I had it and I think my little cousin lost it. It didn't cost that much to replace it either. I also grab some SNES controllers they were selling for 10 bucks. So now I can play my SNES again with some good controllers. Later that night we all had dinner at the same bar (oh I forgot to mention that the bar is called Volt). We had some really nice food and some drinks and hung out with some friends we made at the con. Saturday had to be one of the best days there. I got up pretty early like around 11. My friend came to meet me in the room and we were trying to find out were Reuben Langdon was signing. (He is the Voice of Dante in Devil May Cry 3, 4 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 also the stunt coordinator and motion capture for Chris Redfield in RE5.) We were kinda lost and I was hungry so my friend took me 42 Degrees restaurant for some breakfast. The food there was really awesome and filling. Had me some OJ, bacon, eggs and some fruit. Anyway my friend Trisha called us and told us were she found out were he was signing and we both raced there. We made it just in time and I finally got to meet him. He is a real cool dude and very funny too. He signed my copy of Devil May Cry 4 and my Special Edition of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and we took a photo together. (I will post it today). Later that day I ran into my friend Damon and we headed back to my room to play some MVC3. He though me some tricks that I didn't even know and it really helped out when I joined the tournament later that night. I didn't make it too far but at least I won agents someone. After all that I finally ate again because I was running on empty. I had a few glasses of Gin and Ginger Ale and I had a burger. As soon as I got back to the room I passed out from that super long day. The final day was pretty cool. I got a lot of photos of some cool cosplays and got some final purches on some things I wanted in the dealers room. Outside of the con me and my buddy Richard went out and stocked up on a lot soda that we don't get here in Canada. I got some cherry coke and sierra mist. I swear sierra mist is the citrus drinks of the gods. It beats 7up and Sprite hands down. Anyway the con came to a close. I helped Trisha put her stuff back in the van and we all headed back to Canada. That was pretty much my time in Youmacon and I will be going again next year.
