My Sweet Little Boxer
Yeah, I know Boxer is a weird name for a cat, but it fit.
I was on my way home from work on Friday (11/4) and I found this cat in the middle of the road on a curve. He looked fine but I was worried for why he might be lying in the middle of the road because that's really not a safe place. So I walked over (and it must have been a funny sight since I was wearing my cat ears) and I checked to see if he was hurt. He was moving his head so I knew he was alive and I was going to carry him away from the road until I noticed the blood. His nose and one of his eyes was bleeding. Calling my mom while I carried him to the car and headed home. She took us to the animal hospital and $1000 later, he's feeling a lot better. We took him home the next day and we've been letting him rest and he's been walking around, and using the litterbox, and even letting me pet and cuddle him.
The vets were sure he was feral because he had eaten a rodent and was not neutered. He might be a little uneasy when you first go into the room or if there is more than one person in there at once, but he calms down fast and lets you pet him and stuff. He never scratched or bit me, even when he did his when he was initially alarmed at someone coming in.
He's also been eating. I was afraid he wasn't but he has been eating a little each day. I just think he doesn't have much of an appetite now. I think he's feeling better because he was purring the other day when I was petting him. I love that cat!
