When Sonic Generations was first announced, I was so happy I teared up a bit. I'm a big Sonic fan - my first (and one of my favorite) video game[s] was Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and since then platformers and action adventure games have had special places in my heart.

Now I'm tearing up for a different reason. In ways, this game is so awful. Great music and references (haha, yesss, Ray and Mighty) but incredibly unpolished. Glitches everywhere, the worst bosses I have ever had the displeasure to face, and in many cases outright annoying design.

The game has a lot of good points and I know that good ultimately ends up outweighing the bad, but having to end every play session in a terrible mood makes me think it's really not worth playing the game (definitely not worth preordering for PS3).
Hopefully this thing still gets good return value at GameStop. I heard the MGS HD collection is out...


Minor thing that doesn't actually affect my view of the game but still - why only classic versions of Sonic and Tails? I miss classic Knuckles. :(
