Ichabod is a sick rattie!

Ichabod supposedly has a URI, so I took him to the vet this morning.
He got a $50.00 antibiotic atop a $61.00 vet visit. My gawd.
There goes my Christmas money out the window. XDDD
He was really sick looking this morning but he seems a bit better tonight. More alert, more active, less hyena-laugh noises.
So, I'm very hopeful. :) Things should look up for him. I'm keeping atop things to keep respiratory flareups from happening in him or anybody else. Because I have to hide them and my room is so poorly ventilated, I'm going to invest in a fan for my room to keep air moving. It's stale in there and having to stow them in my closet while I'm out doesn't help much.
Anyway-- he doesn't much like his meds so I have to have my fiance hold him down while I squirt it in his mouth, poor thing.
I had to come out to my mom this morning about having them so I could take him to the vet. She was much less mad then I thought and mostly just told me that I was stupid for not telling her sooner and that I probably should have thought a little harder before I had so many. (She's not really understanding that rats have to be kept in communities. :P)
But, my aunt donated $40.00 and
donated, too. <3 I'm trying my best to cover my debts even though I'm technically spending -my- money. I feel awful for not being able to pay for my own pets, but at least he is getting treatment.
Anyway I'll keep everyone updated. :D

$110 isn't anything for a vet bill. Nothing at all really.
