Listen to it with headphones and tell me it doesn't crunch your ears into a state of....Rock Ability.
Yes, you heard me correctly. I balanced what I could; I checked as much as possible; now it goes online. I am fearful there might be a trigger that is not equipped to handle more than one player, but since I don't have enough private beta testers there isn't a whole lot I can do about it.
It goes online 11/13/2011 at 10:30 PTZ.
For those of you wondering about what the map is about, the loading screen image has been uploaded to my site, and can be viewed, even as a guest, Here
It's a Starcraft 2 map that the whole goal is to obtain the middle (via a building that you place anywhere in the middle) and keep the middle for a predetermined amount of time.
There are three modes:
Short: 5 minutes in the middle takes the win;
47 minutes total
Normal Game Length: 10 minutes in the middle takes the win;
47 minutes total
and
Extreme: 15 minutes in the middle takes the win;
1 hour total
There are heroes as well, and just like the game they have "modes":
Easy: Moderately good at pretty much everything.
Medium: Tank/Very high health and shields but lacks in attack damage.
Hard: Hero Killer/High Damage towards heroes
There are many ways to play and that's by design. Units counter heroes; structures counter units; and heroes counter structures/other heroes.
Items are only obtainable as drops or if you have less then a full house while playing, and heroes take a lot of EXP to level up.
Every 10 minutes you gain a building which gives players access to special hero abilities and tier upgrades that get better as time goes on.
There are also extra vespene geysers around the map to feed the ever increasing demand for units and upgrades which tend to cost a large amount of minerals and/or vespene. Rich minerals are located in the middle.
And that's ABOUT it thus-far. Right now it's still in it's baby stages and I plan to have at least one more tier of units and structures if nothing else.
