I couldn't agree more. The reason if you're wondering is money, the earlier you start the shopping season the more money you make. That being said it is a thorn in my side.

I wish I could feel free to comment on the heavy handed christian religion that is rammed down out throats but I'm afraid that is just opening a can of worms that I'd regret latter. It seem trying to discuss anything logical and fact based with a die hard christian is always a losing battle... sadly.

At any rate there should be a movement to get equality amongst all the religions out there and their holidays/holydays.

With international chains, I could see part the logic behind this. Thanksgiving is, afterall, a holiday exclusive to the states. And the bigwigs at the top would find it easier to keep the stores homogenized in their marketing, all stores the same in every country everywhere. Doubtless that isn't the sole reason behind their marketing Christmas so soon, and I'd be hesitant to stick any certainty in my claims that such is a major reason. __ @

I mean, the commonly accepted belief that Christmas being marketed so early because the corporations are greedy assholes is so commonly believed precisely because it is so largely accurate of a vast majority of the companies that do so.

Im more talking about thanksgiving.
But uh thing is in other countries where we have buisness we respect their holidays. Its a national holiday.

I tried talking to my mom about it nd she just sid its cauae we are a strong christian nation and should be proud. Im jewish(more to mKe my aunt happy) and told her i hate having it ramed down my throat. She said whn jews become the majority they can change it but majority has rule. So i asked her then why to we cater to minoritys when it comes to race or sex. She just told me its cause you cany pick those.
Makes me mad to go to a store and see xmas everywhere.
