When I read that MFF moved from the boonies to the Hyatt that first time I thought, "This place is much more accessable to me. It would be interesting to go there, but that will never happen." This was long before joining FA and meeting so many wonderful people. I never would have imagined it could ever happen. Then, when I joined FA, I thought that I would go just to check it out. The fact that showed up with a partial fursuit for me was a little surreal. It was a suprise to no one since he's only been streaming the making of it for forever, but still... wow ^///^ I hope posts that two second video of me putting on the suit for the first time somewhere for people to see. It pretty much says it all.

It's all a bit fast for me. I'm slow. Also old. Therefore, I don't have all the time in the world anymore. So, it seems like everything just keeps falling into place for me. Just to think that a year ago, I didn't have any furry furry friends save the wonderful . It was a thrill having him meet those that could attend from the vally after telling him about how much fun I have all the time at the events. Also, got to introduce us both to some folks in Michigan, including who did my ref sheet :P

There was just not enough hours in the day XD I wish I could have hung out with everyone all the time. Of the dozen or so people I knew would be there, it's unrealistic to think that everyone's interestes and schedules would match up let alone overlap. It was great to see everyone in their... element :3 I hope you all had a blast.

So, I mentioned that I had a fursuit. I don't think I did it justice XD I'm such a n00b, but I'm learning from the best *coughricocough* :3 The main problem I had was deciding on talking vs not talking LoL I naturally don't talk, so that was the default response. Tho' trying to meet people as well so... LoL whatevs. Also, my eyeballs are not the greatest in the world. So recognition of others is a challenge. No glasses isn't much of a problem, but bright lights or not enough light can prove challenging. Tho' I appreciated all the surprise glomps from behind. They work well ^_^ I'm more of a visual learner. So it's hard to remember people without getting a good look at the badge or an entire FA page Walking back from the golden arches, a bunch of us were in suit and happened to pass a wedding party who were more than happy to let us in on some of their pictures LoL. I was taken aback with how many people were lined along the fursuit parade path. I guess that's probably the most popular event XD Also, got to glowstring in suit the first night. Circles! wheeeeee! LoL When will there be time to learn more? Not enough hours in the day. When it was all said and done, I and gave and received a lot of free hugs. I miscalculated the schedule of events. I was totally on in coming a day early to hang out with and . Totally lucked out on having a room on the main floor at the Hyatt (second time that's happened ^_^). I'd usually forget my badge or somethine in my room. No worries! I'll be back in a hot minute :) The issue was with my departure. From my anime con experience, Sunday is usually a dead day with not much in the way of scheduled events. Therefore, I expected everything to be mostly wrapped up around noonish. TOTALLY NOT THE CASE! O.o I still got to see the fursuit dance competition (anyone got any pointers :P) and to suit around a bunch more, but I had to peace out at 5 to make my flight. Live and learn.

Sadly, my imaginary girlfriend was sick and couldn't make it. Tho' Vix did ok in a pinch ;)
