Back from MFF, and my nipples are STILL sore!
Well folks, ladies, gentlemen, and... THINGS, I arrived back home from my first MFF experience ever, yesterday, and I was literally dizzy. DIZZY! From what? It can possibly be attributed to many things, but my first guess is going to be a lack of sleep over a four-five day period. Because... sleep? Fuck sleep. I was at MFF, and having one of the nicest times of my life with some of the nicest people I've met in my life, and I wasn't going to me missing any of it.
Now that I'm back in my boring home with my boring bed and boring job, I could then sleep. But not a moment before!!
Funny thing is, I didn't actually spend a whole lot of this con doing con things. There were tons of panels and stuff that I might have been interested in checking out, but by and large, MFF was spent in the company of two things... people, and alcohol. :)
HIGHLIGHTS AND MENTIONABLES:
-Finally meeting my bud
emorottie on a face-to-face-to-shitfaced basis, and along with
Niko, having two of the coolest roomates you could ask for.
-Huge, HUGE, HEE-UGE thanks to
PRguitarman , an awesome man amongst awesome men, who opened his suite doors to me and my gang, made us feel welcome, showed us kindness, showed us laughter, and showed us his collection of liquors. The man is a large part of the reason my MFF experience rocked so hard, a large part of the reason I still have a lingering hangover from nearly four straight days of drinking, and a lingering sore throat from drunkenly singing. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6899604/
-Belly rubs. ALL THE BELLY RUBS.
-Impromptu chorus, with the awesomely talented
slyford at the piano, the charming and charismatic
thatoneguy297 on the guitar, and
Reginho as the only guy there who knew the lyrics to every song, WITHOUT EXCEPTION. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obx9wQJzZrU
- Meeting and greeting, amongst others,
Bauske ,
ebdain,
FalconMcCooper,
kazewolf and a whole ton of other people whose names I can't remember, but I wrote down somewhere, and why the fuck can't I find that piece of paper AAARRGH, I'VE GONE THOUGH MY LUGGAGE TWICE AND I STILL CAN'T FIND THE FUCKING THING, FUCK!
- That green stuff that tasted like a glass of Jolly Ranchers.
- My ears popping about five times on the elevator ride up the Willis Tower.
-TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND.
- HOLY SHIT, Phoenix Wright is a playable character in the new Marvel VS Capcom??! Drop EVERYTHING and give me that controller, NAO! (And STILL getting my ass kicked by Emorottie. :P )
-Me,
mapdark and
stripes 's luggage being the FIRST suitcases to show up on the baggage claim belt. Both on the plane ride in, AND the plane ride out. :D
-Coming home to discover that the store I preordered Skyward Sword: Collector's Edition with actually had only been sent ten copies of the collector's package by Nintendo, while me and, like, forty other guys had done the actual preorder with this store, but since my roommate actually works there, he snagged me up a copy real quick while a whole lineup of other people were supremely pissed. Pays to have a man on the inside. >:)
So, all in all, I had about one of the bestest and greatest-est experiences of my life, and moreso than owing it to it being MFF itself, I really just owe it to the people who were there with me, making it the fantastic time that it was. A lot of the above-mentioned people were either complete strangers or friends-of-friends before Thursday, so the fact that so many, many of you were so quick to welcome me with open arms, pass me a drink, take drinks from me, shoot the shit with me and so easily make me feel like one of the gang as we partied... honestly, and at the risk of sounding gushy and corny... that is one of the greatest feelings in the world, and above all those above listed things, and everything else that happened while I was there, I think that feeling, that memory, was the most precious thing I carried back with me home.
So, my utmost and sincerest thanks to every single person listed here, as well as all those others I met whom I can't quite remember. I'll miss you all terribly until the next time we get a chance to do this, and though I sometimes feel a twinge of post-con depression coming on as I settle in back home and sigh, all I have to do is think of the memories of the time we had together, and I can't stop a smile form breaking out across my lips.

and...WTF Phoenix Wright is a playable character in Capcom Vs Marvel?!! *runs to his car to drive to the next MediaMarkt*
xD That was about my reaction, too.
btw. i am physically not able to drink alcohol :D
And yours was criminally missing, sir!!
HI! I missed you! Sounds like you had loads of fun.
. . . And a new wiimote because my current one still doesn't have Motion Plus.
<cries>
*Consoles*
I'll just settle for saving up and getting the new Ocarina of Time 3DS bundle that's coming out as of this weekend. I knew they would make one eventually, so Ive held out on buying a 3DS until now.
But my money is still all gone. Oh well, guess I hope to either see that at Christmas, or see some money that will let me buy it at Christmas.
. . . if they are even still available by then . . .
Also, Yes, Mr. Wright is a playable character. Didn't you hear the leaked! It's all over youtube and how he fights! Wait... has the game be released yet...? I meant the ultimate MVC3, not the normal MVC3.
I'm afraid I don't quite remember which version we was playing. I'm unfamiliar with the series in general, and just referred to it as "That thing... that game where the lawyer beats up the tentacle monster."
And now, I'm even more jealous than before! You get to play Mr. Wright!
Too much booze in my system is probably why. Even though I just sinned by saying "too much booze."
Though, mind you, I kept staring at everyone's badges as a means of identification, and, at some point, got neck strain from it. Mighta been taking a break from that when you came along. :P
Also: now I simply have to give you belly rubs too, whenever I get to meet you. :P
Another missed opportunity :/
Try not to be weirded out. :P
