Thanksgiving + Other stuff
First off, Happy Thanksgiving guys. Not a holiday I really care about too much, but the message is there. Just don't care for ingesting 23lbs of Turkey when I'm trying to eat less so I can trim my figure. Not that I enjoyed eating a lot of turkey when I didn't care about weight though. But yeah, Thanksgiving... it's a day to give thanks, and yeah, I have alot tobe thankful for, but really? I take the same stance of Thanksgiving as I do with a lot of other Holidays. Why be thankful one day of the year when you can be thankful every day of the year? Eh, dunno. Maybe it's me. Don't get the wrong impression or anything.
Anyway, had lots of fun last night hanging out with Blarion, Lonewolf666, and Blooferret alongside two of my normal friends (As in non-furry :p) seeing the Muppets and then hitting up TGI Fridays. Heart pounding event for me because oh god, regular friends meeting non furry friends oh god. But eh, I set out long ago when I started making friends in the fandom that I wouldn't isolate myself from friends I already had. Shit, My friend Rissa has told me before she's wanted to go with me to FruFright because she just likes going to conventions XD Thankfully things seemed to go off good and no rough spots.
Probably the weirdest thing though? Learning the real names of furs I've known for a much longer time by the internet names. I mean, I know the real names of a lot of furs, and I'll introduce myself by both my internet tag and my Real name, telling people to call me by whatever name they think is more comfortable, but still? When you've known and met and talked with someone using only an alias for a while, and then learn their real names? Dunno, just feels weird. Natural compulsion is to start using their real names, but I hold myself back.
And really? It's only weird with Blarion, Lone, and Bloo, cause I've known them for the longest time by internet handle only. I can literally go through a list:
Kiniel I learned the name of by chance thanks to Twitter and his roommate Jitka
Nexus I learned at FurFright when Evo told me to get her by using her real name, confusing me for half a second
Kavi I learned the real name of by chance when he invited me to G+ soon after talking with him
Pherric I learned the real name of in passing conversation with Nexus
Kelix I learned the real name of when we were dating for a while, and more often refer to by real name anyway O.o
Guil I learned the real name of by accident when he texted me the first time and his name came up just out of the blue. Real name, instead of a number O.o
And others have some sort of hint to their real name in their names. None of the ones above weirded me out, but for some reason, it did hearing the real names of Blarion, Lone, and Bloo. Though, as I type this, I think I know why...
Bloo's name I learned when my friend Rissa commented in the car about him, saying his real name and then quickly his internet tag after. It wasn't as weird in that case, because it felt natural...
But in the case of Blarion and Lone, it was weird because it was like a second introduction. Trying to introduce my friends to them, I was completely unsure what to say, so I just used their internet tags. Afterwards they introduced themselves by real name. Maybe it's just cause it was a second introduction of sorts that makes it feel weird.
I dunno. I really don't care that much personally. I respect people's privacy of names, but i could care less what people call me by. Border, Aaron, either work.
Dunno, I think I'm rambling at this point. Gonna wrap this journal up.

I prefer to live in the here and now :3 helps keep me sane and knowing what is true and what is just a facade. yeah...deep wuff is deep today :/ To me its all about balance. I like to know what my anchor to life is, and knowing real names and able to call my friends by their real names helps a good deal hehe. It still feels weird when people call me Nighteyes. Hell my non fur friends in the ecig vaping community call me by nighteyes as I use that handle there as well. So it really messes with my head sometimes HAHAHA.
anyways to keep from being terribly long winded, wuv ya bud. Have a happy thanksgiving. I am thankful for all my friends, fuzzy or otherwise :3 Hope to hang out with ya sometime soon *snugs*
Peace!! ,,,^.^,,,~~~
On that note, I could use more of the people I know on actual messengers like that *shrugs*
That is why I make a habbit of keeping furry contacts in my phone as their furry name AND their real names. :D
Sure does help me a ton. :3
Also, happy T-Day!
