So the Jay reply was awesome... and just when I thought my luck couldn't get any better I found a couple PMs from TJ Miller when I got home from work this evening. Those of you who don't know, TJ voiced Tuffnut in HTTYD and has had other various film roles, such as Stainer in "She's Out of my Leuge." and well... you can see his credits for yourself: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2554352/ ... this journal is long enough already ^^;
Okay, so this one needs a bit of explanation... yesterday TJ had posted a response tweet to some pretty crazy fangirl tweets he had received. I won't show those... but you get the idea I'm sure. For the record, I may be a fangirl, I admit... but I'm also a realistic fan girl.
Here was his original tweet: (and just a note, while his username is 'nottjmiller'... it's him. Sort of a sarcastic joke, or course what he does best lol!)

It tends to break the frame and spring set.
But yay for you on getting a reply.

This is something I've so far mentioned only to some close friends and acquaintances, but I was in a horrible artistic slump for the longest time -- months, even years, and I was getting increasingly frustrated and depressed about it.
Then, along came MLP. And now I've probably done more drawings in the last 8 months than I've done in the last 3-4 years. Granted, it's mostly pony fan-art. And I figure, sooner or later, I'll move on to other things. But those crazy, pastel ponies really brought me back to life, creatively.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that you can never tell when something fun or exciting or inspirational will fly out of the clear, blue sky and grasp you in its adorable little hooves. So never give up. And if you're waiting for lightning to strike, it helps to build a lightning rod. :)
