Hospital update: I am currently feeling really good, though, due to the nature of my surgery, I am on a clear-liquid diet. I am not that bothered, not only because I had previously been under such a diet, but I also get more juice and gelatin that way!

After reading some language-learning blogs, I decided to temporarily pause learning Nipponese in pursuit of learning Esperanto. Though I already carried some interest in learning the language, my main reasons for taking such a plunge now are:

# People who learn Esperanto before learning other languages learn the other languages easier. From what I have read, this is partially due to learning Esperanto (which is already very easy to learn) gets one accustomed to learning another language, so learning a third language after Esperanto becomes easier. Considering that I shall not only be returning to Nipponese after this experiment, but also taking a German course the next school semestre, so I need the Esperanto boost.
# More related to the previous reason, I plan on using Esperanto to learn which language-learning techniques work for me so that I shall be better-prepared to learn Nipponese.

Hence, while not working on distance schoolwork, I was busy hoarding Esperanto material (podcasts, ebooks, magazines...) while reading up on blogs on language-learning. Of course, I still am going to study Kanji (of which I had unfortunately paused), since I do not wish to lose track , but I am going to focus my efforts in learning Esperanto.
