Mr. Rick Santorum
13 years ago
I am still aggravated over the watcher incident, but I want to get this out, partially due to someone else posting a political Journal entry, partially due to the U.S. polls starting today.
I am in Puerto Rico, so I can not vote for the U.S. President, but, if I was, I already have my choice: Mr. Rick Santorum.
Mind you, I was once a Ron-Paul-Supporter, considering that Mr. Paul was planning on fixing the economy, re-instating a lot of liberties, and so on, but I got troubled with his statement on withdrawing support for every country... including Israel, God's blessed people, but the fall-country for a lot of the world. At this point, I felt uncomfortable supporting Mr. Paul.
That is, until I discovered that Mr. Santorum was going to enter the race. I mean, not simply supporting Israel, but also in making the United States once again "One Nation Under God (1)", alongside animal rights, restoring traditional marriage, making healt-care patient-centric again (if healt-care ever was), restoring 2nd Ammendment rights (gun rights), restoring local jobs, and cutting taxes. Mr. Santorum even actually believes that pornography is damaging(2)!
I know that this would be an unpopular stance, what with a lot of people saying "TEMEEEE!!!!!! YOU ARE SUPPORTING VIOLENCE AGAINST GAYS AND BOMBING INNOCENT IRANIANS!!!!!!", yet I can not vote against my conscience.
(Even so, unless God interferes, I believe that Mr. Paul would win. He is getting a continuously higher number of supporters every time, him already over-riding in some states the other Republican choices and maybe even all of the other choices. He is also independent in both party and ideology, having actually evidence that he would fix the problems of the country, all with no reputation-damaging secrets! People was true and honest change, hence the increasing support. I can not let circumstances over-ride my convictions.)
Then again, I can not vote for Mr. Santorum, so all I can do is pray for Mr. Santorum to win.
+++++++
(1 = While that phrase is a recend addition to the United States Pledge of Allegiance, the reason why the Pilgrims bothered to colonize the United States in the first place was to get freedom to worship God the way they see fit.)
(2 = According to Mr.
pumpedaaron, the proper solution to... "adult" urges is a true and honest marriage. Pornography only sates the feeling while leaving you with a starved heart.)
