I've been stumbling across people by others re-blogging thus far. Other than that I mainly just have a few friends to follow, so can't give good advice on many awesome blogs yet.

well I find it useful to vent (good or bad), find people who have similar interests in video games, movies,cartoons, etc, or even find pictures that make me happy/laugh, post art that I'm too lazy to submit on here.

as far as finding people I literally just typed whatever i'm interested in the search tags and check people's blogs

I actually use it for acting as a secondary source to journals I post here as well as using it for off topic discussions that would normally get frowned upon by admins (which at this point, is almost anything).

A nice use for it that makes having it as a secondary source is that you can have RSS support by default enabled! People who know how to use it love that since it means they can get notified when a new post/journal was submitted, a feature that FA lacks.

When I do post from tumblr to FA, I typically will title it with Tumblr: (title here) with a link at the end to the source so people who do use tumblr but missed a journal like this that explains where the blog is can easily find it. That's just me though.
