How do you do it... ?

All right, so I just realized something: I can't seem to draw convincing female "furries". Now, I always thought that fur, scales, horns, claws and the like seem to work better on male characters, but I've seen some nice female anthros on here, so... how do you make it work for you?
I guess it's mainly just practice... By now I can draw fairly decent looking human females, though.
Well, if I can't figure it out, I guess I could always draw human females having some fun with male anthros... :D

But as for your tips, the proportions and such aren't really the problem. Like I said, I can draw acceptable looking human females. XD It's mainly the anthro-specific features that give me trouble, in example the muzzle, as you mentioned.
Also, I guess I'm just used to the idea that guys have facial/ body hair, and girls don't. So it's kind of odd to draw women who are fuzzy all over. XD Maybe I should start with short-haired species.

I've had the same trouble, though, I'm not that good at figuring out female anthros ... but I'm decent at human females, so I'm not sure why that is. *shrugs*
And as for the female anthros, Grimal has summed it up quite well, I guess. I'll just have to keep practicing. :/

I have to say, though, that some women are *gorgeous* with bald heads. ;)
