No coercion intended. Just trying to get as many friends as I can on the same server before it comes out.

Been contemplating what it'd be like. I enjoyed WoW a long time ago, but I'm done with WoW, and just was worried this'd be WoW in space.

It may be after a fashion. Although, Lucasarts and Bioware are two totally different entities that have rarely disappointed me with games.

From what I have been told by people who have played the beta, it's a bit of WoW, Rift, Dragon Age, and Eve Online all rolled together in one.

Its worth a try at least. Can't knock it less you try it I figure.

Well, I'm at level 17 now. The game is pretty gorgeous. The scenery (except on plainly ugly planets) is amazing, and the animation (if your computer can handle it) is VERY well done.

As for play and storyline, it almost plays like a single player RPG that other people are involved in. You get points for social interaction (that I am assuming affect other scores). If you're a WoW player, the interface is VERY adaptable as so much of it is the same. However, when it comes to abilities, they decided to come up with some new ones, which are pretty awesome (for instance, my character pulls a chunk of rock/metal/droid from the ground and flings it at people).

If you enjoy Star Wars (or even just have a passing "okay-ness" for it, I would recommend you give it a try. I don't think you'd be disappointed. :)
