Not really, because he/she isn't saying English is better than whatever language they were being yelled at in. Nor were they saying they were beteer cause they were white/black/latino, ect.

Tho, I can really say for sure, I havent read the journal you are talking about. You should link the examples and let people draw their own conclusions.

it seems racist to me. it's at least derogatory in some way. she also mentioned that the waiting room was full of black people. why mention the color of their skin at all?

And I wouldnt say thats Racist per say, more or less they aere being descriptive, and not doing it very well.
Just saying a room was full of Black people isnt racist, it's just describing who was in the room.
Not like they said the room was full of niggers or darkies.
As for the " Red-Dot Language" remark, that's a bit ignorant of them yes, It's Hindu last time I checked, if thats even was what they were speaking. Still doesn't make it any less tasteful.
