I've tried to track down as many local furs as possible but I know I've forgotten and even missed some.

To the best of my knowledge, fursuiting will be allowed at all locations in the area except for the ice skating. The theater bathrooms are available for changing in and out of your fursuits.

We have the opportunity for a private meeting room as well.

The day after Christmas, I will have an estimate on how much money you should bring with you. I'm trying to keep this as low as possible. I'll also have a list of things you should bring with you by then as well.

A little note on those that need financial assistance. I understand you may need some and I'm sure some of us are willing and able to assist, but please don't abuse this. Charity is earned and I won't tolerate misuse of what others may give you. If they give you money, ONLY use it for what it is given to you for. If you have any left over, offer it back to them. It's the right thing to do.

I've spent several years with various local groups and have contributed to the community more times than I can recall. If any drama ensues, I will not hesitate to step in. We are doing this to have fun and make friends, please leave any grief someplace else.

If you're under 18, note me so I can send you a parental consent form for your parents to fill out. Have it with you when you come to the meet.

What is there to do?
The bandshell is still having out door iceskating through the 6th: $10 per person.
Mini-golf: (there are several of them) $7 per game at Daytona Lagoon
Movie Theater: $9 adult, $7 with student ID, $6.5 matinee. I might suggest The Adventures of Tintin if we do watch a movie.
Go-karts: $7 per ride
Laser tag: $7 per game
Arcade: whatever you want
Bowling: (will probably be at the Bellair Lanes which is a short drive north on A1A) $3 per person before 6PM, $15 by the lane before 6PM, $4 shoe rentals, $2 sock rentals
Private party area:(Thank you so catboydemyx for bringing this to my attention) $25 in food stuff at the concession stand at the theater plus a movie.
Board Walk: There are some rides like a ferris wheel and a slingshot along with several small shops. The taffy shop there is amazing. :3

The best parking for the Ocean Walk is the parking garage on the west side of A1A. Parking rate is $1.00 per half hour not to exceed $8 in 12 hours. I am looking into alternate parking locations for those that think this is a rip. I am double checking to make sure it hasn't changed recently.

Current estimated max money you will need is $30. This covers parking, a movie, concessions/food, and 2 $7 activities.


Finding all of you and taking this to the next level
The idea is to, ultimately, have a regular meet where local furs can meet, make new friends, socialize, and generaly have loads of fun. There is a shit ton of work to do to make this a regular meet and I may create a google pages site if this gets to where I would like it. Probably the biggest reason for doing this is that one of my close friends came out of the furry closet a couple months ago. This got me thinking there are probably other furs in the area that either don't know how to find the rest of us in the area or think all the furs are everywhere else. I know there are a few different outlets for this: the fa group; the florida furs site; and several other things. I think the main problem here is there are just too many things, some of which are now dead.

Can we make this a regular meet? Yes, but only with your help. There are enough of us in the area that we can set and keep a fair level of organization.

I compiled my very incomplete list from the FA group and the floridafurs site. I'm fairly certain there are more furs, so please let me know so I can add them to this list and send out the invite.

Pretty much this, but in a smaller scale. In fact, go ahead and read the fursuiter etiquette page over there too since we will have at least two fursuiters.

Goals before the meet
Set an exact date. (I know some of you need to know ahead of time so you can request time off work. I will have a date selected by the 21st.
Set an exact time.
How will we distinguish our group from everyone else? Possibly wrist bands.
Should we pick a worthy charity?
Create a master contact list. In progress.
Create a set of rules.
Check with the shops, bars, Daytona Lagoon, theater and nearest mini-golf places for their policy on fur suiting.
