Dunno if I'd call regular lamination lame. Most artists invest in a general lamination machine as a courtesy to their commissioners, so they don't have to pay extra to another vendor for lamination. I know I for one couldn't afford to dump the cash into an industrial grade machine like Lagarto used. I know the uber thick lamination IS pretty damn cool, and durable as hell, but.....we freelancers do the best we can with what we've got, yanno?

When sssage mentions lame, she means the self-stick stuff, or the 1mil film that is so flimsy, the clip pulls out the first time you wear it.

For the rest, perhaps give the buyer the choice of your thinner film, or none at all, as they might prefer to have it done elsewhere, or just scan it and wear a copy - keeping the beautiful original safe and pristine.

Ahhhh gotcha. Yeah, before I got the heat laminator I used the self stick. Wasn't happy with it myself, though I know a friend who swears by it.

Not a bad idea, actually, I always worry wearing badges...I mean, it's basically wearing a tiny original around the convention. Given the number of furries I know complaining about losing badges during raves and the like, wearing a laminated copy is a really smart notion!

Yeah I repair broken lamination too. So far none of my thick lamination has bent or broken on me, so hopefully that wont change in the future
