I MOVED!
These last couple of months have been very long and trying for me. During ALL of January I was travelling back and forth to Sacramento (an hour's drive) working on this little house that me and my boyfriend moved into. It's actually a guest house, owned by a co-worker of his. So it's ONE ROOM. It's kinda tiny, but it has a bathroom and kitchen counter.
We did all of the work on the place, cause the owner is a, I don't know, lazy/procrastinator/cheap/cut-corners/complaining kinda guy. We basically took it upon ourselves to do the work so that it'd actually be done in time to move in. But really, we had to push back moving in for 2 WEEKS!! It just wasn't ready. It's an OLD ASS house, so shit was pretty bad. It's STILL not really finished (bathroom mainly).
Well, we moved in last week anyway, cause there's at least a toilet and a shower that work (no sink yet, except in the kitchen). We finally got the heater working a couple days ago so we're not freezing our ASSES off anymore. Now that the spring is coming it's not as big a deal, but still. We're still adjusting some stuff, and this computer desk is SUPER CLUTTERED at the moment. But that's ok, cause the internet speed is good and working, so I don't have massive issues online anymore.
So if you're still reading, I'm sure you're wondering...why on EARTH would we move into this tiny little place with such needs? Well, because it's only $500 a month! That's only 250 each! No extra bills either. That includes: water, electricity, garbage, cable, and internet. It's CRAZY! So yeah, we're gonna save LOTS of money this year.
I got a new job, working at Chili's (server), so I'm stepping back up from Denny's (CRAP). They already like me there, and I like the atmosphere a lot. Soon I'll be making bank again.
So things are looking good finally. I now live in Sacramento, CA (west sac, really) with my boyfriend. *SQUEES* It's the first time I've gotten away from my home town, and I'm liking it already. New people, new places, new opportunities, new life. AWESOME!
