The "no sue" clause always struck as their was as saying "No takey-backsies!" it's childish, really.

I knew this was bound to happen sooner or later. A lot of gamers nowadays have gained enough knowledge to exploit glitches and look for loopholes, the latter especially. And when a loophole (or loopholes) is found, sha-bam, a new ball game begins.

This has also made me glad I never bought a PS3.

Problem is... MicroSHIT followed in the same footsteps to include that clause. I just hope they win against this shit so every other business will drop the shit act.

I'm fairly certain Nintendo will also follow in the footsteps, just to "get with the times". I own a Wii, a DSi, and a 3DS, three Nintendo systems that utilise Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

I'm rooting for the person(s) whom filed the lawsuit. To win hard enough to force Sony (as well as Microsoft, Nintendo, and Apple) to drop this clause. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the whole "Update this so you won't sue us" idea a violation of one of (or more than) the American Amendment of Rights?

You are correct my blue furry friend. I doubt Nintendo will do this but it is possible. Then again Nintendo hasn't much of an issue to worry about. I mean there has been little to no lawsuits against them by consumers while Sony and Microsoft... pfft.... well thats what they get for selling either defected merchandise or screwing up the security on a network.

Nintendo had attracted PETA quite a few times, and they receive a very baseless lawsuit each year ever since Anascape started.

Yup, pretty sure it's against a bunch of basic rights... in fact, i'm certain they also have to say at the end, at least in the UK, that it doesn't affect your statutory rights... which that particular clause sort of specifically says it does, so... yeah, silly Sony etc. ;)

I agree with ya! I mean yeah its great what they've done for gaming but the other things like Microsoft fucking up the first generations of Xbox360s and Sony fucking up with security, its inexcusable.
