Remba's 21st birthday re-cap
So yesterday, I took
Remba for dinner in honor of her 21st birthday at a Vietnamese restaurant. Respectively, I had Pho Dac Biet, which is a type of beef broth with noodles and various meaty tidbits, and Remba has so beef with rice thing.
Frankly, it was a good restaurant and courteous when I asked them if they could put the cake I brought into their freezer (IceCream cake, Vanilla and Fudge P:) I also bought her this adorable Winter-Tigger plush and a card. A typical gift, perhaps, but I'm not that much of an inventive person. Ahaha. We had actually planned for more people to come, but due to some unforeseen circumstances most could not come, so for two or so hours, Remba and I ate dinner together, reminisced about the past, had some small talk and joked around until
Dreiyan and his mate came (Omg o-o I didn't know, so congrats! <3)
At that point, the waitress graciously brought back out our cake, and that was probably the fastest birthday song I have ever heard xD As soon as we lit the candles, Miss Remba sang a literal 10-sec birthday song and blew them out. In my face QQ -inhaled smoke- But all was in good fun!
She was also pretty tipsy at that time, seeing as it was her 21st birthday, she ordered a drink 'The Sexy Asian' (And no comments on that please.) she had commented that it was quite strong at first (vodka) but enjoyed it as it went down. She drank the first glass in less than a couple minutes, and even when I told her to not get another glass, she went ahead and got another one. And now we had a very giggly, bubbly, and tipsy tiger on our paws.
So the night ensued, the group of furs enjoying our night out until 10PM, when we finally left the restaurant (I left a generous tip, so hopefully that was okay lol.) Dreiyan and his mate decided to get on back home, but I decided to take the risk of infuriating my mom (I told her I'd be back around 10..) and staying back with the tipsy tigress to make sure she was completely sober before heading back home. So from the restaurant, we took a quick walk through the 35+ degree weather to the local walmart about half a block away, warming up inside as we ventured with the various items and proceeded with furry jokes and general silliness we all possess inside us.
Miss Remba also did some self-sobreity tests inside the store, keeping check with herself if she was sober enough to drive home safely, which was our ultimate goal. After oh.. An hour and some inside Wal-mart, we headed back to the Pho restaurant, in which we had an unexpected guest come by. Remba's father.
He was worried about Remba driving home whilst being tipsy, and was comforted (I hope.) that I stayed back to make sure she was safe and sober enough to drive home, which I had also offered to her that I could drive behind her to make sure she got home without a hitch. I kept my respectful distance from him, I didn't want him to think that Remba and I were more than friends, let alone had a relationship in the past. I must've looked pretty vulnerable at that point really, being a person of diminutive height (Typical of being Asian) and of quiet nature naturally, so when I politely declined his offer on riding in his car back to our cars in the parking lot he had Remba walk me back, with her commenting that I looked small and her father wanting to make sure /I/ was safe going to my car.
Time had already past by now, bordering along 11:30PM and the lot was already emptied of people other than the people attending the new 'World of Beer' bar close by.
All in all, it was a fun night out and enjoyed with good company. I wish I can intend more nights like these, friends just bonding over something as simple as a meal and talking the night away.
That's all this Mox has to say, I wish everyone Happy Holidays and cheers to the upcoming New Year!
