Finally, an accurate analysis of furries?

My friend recently introduced me to TV Tropes, and I've been busy reading about all the different tropes (which are basically just common occurences, themes, etc.) that appear in my favourite books and shows ever since. The article about the Redwall series offered a link to a "furry fandom" page, and based on what I've read so far... it seems surprisingly accurate. Here's a quote I wanted to point out:
"In the very very tiny minority are people who love stuffed animals, and erotic cosplayers. It pains us to have to emphasize the fact that this segment of the fandom is very, very small. Yet, thanks to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, ER, MTV, American Dad!, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Vanity Fair, Maxim and Something Awful, it has gotten by far the most attention of any of these groups. Apparently, even furries don't enjoy having sex in a heavy, sweaty, hard-to-clean suit that partially blocks their eyesight."
The article actually acknowledges that plushophiles and fursuit-yiffers AREN'T an accurate representation of the fandom! :0 That's one of the most prevalent misconceptions I've seen about furries all over the internet -- I even read a Cyanide and Happiness comic that made fun of fursuiters. So it's nice to see a site that gets it right for once.
Some of the tropes listed are also pretty fascinating.

Reading this, I agree. Very accurate. I fall into that "Furry confusion" category, because I honestly don't even consider myself a furry for the fact that I only like feral stuff. xD According to that Shane is probably a furry, because he likes werewolves. But yeah I do like wearing a suit, too, and that's "furry."
I don't care if someone else calls me one though. :P

I think that the percentage of furries that are also plushophiles is MUCH greater than one percent. I personally know several. I myself am one.
Just wanted to put that out there. x3
