Two in a row. Because

I usually remove all visible sign of the date, but fuck it. Sides this is an odd time. Everyones recovering from Christmas meals, others are rushing out to cram into every store to take advantage of deals and Xmas money. I meanwhile am pondering the latter as I settle into my birthday.
Also reposting the story bit.
There came a quiet giggle and an answering flick upon the snout. Maleti giving a little harumph as her eyes narrowed, Kin giving that superior smile as her hand came away from teaching the silly Faeltar her place. The golden scaled female wriggling down comfortably in Reikos hoodie, having snatched it before grubby savage claws or puffy feline paws could get ahold of it. "If I tell a story then little Savage has to be quiet yes?"
There was yet another harumph, Maleti rolling further on the bed, snout pointing upwards to the ceiling, glancing with a solitary eye at the Fizlen. "Fine..."
Kin let that smug smile spread all the further upon her snout, other, non-teaching hand sifting itself through Chicas soft mid-riff fur. The quiet rumbles of the purring Jaguar a lovely bit of background noise, far more pleasant than just crickets or creaking wood. "Well, long ago there was a beautiful kingdom. It had ivory white towers, immaculately clean streets. No one who lived there was poor or dirty or sad."
"-ray!", came from the silly Faeltar who yelped at getting another flick at her snout, trying to catch the finger with her beaky bit. "But it was in the royal family that things weren't as perfect. There was a wonderful princess, she had such thick golden hair, her scales-er, skin, was flawless and pale from a life of leisure. Spending much of her days mingling with the townsfolk, to make their lives all the happier. Showing what a wonderful woman she was. Able to sing like a siren without the downside hmhm and could even play instruments."
Chica brought her fluffy cheek against Kins chest, resting upon the soft swells as she gave a little nuzzle. "The problem was that there were no decent princes from other kingdoms for her to be married to. They were all boastful, or foolish, or full of themselves, or old."
They couldn't just ask the knights either because the kingdom was peaceful and a warrior seemed silly. The merchants were obsessed with wealth, even the nice ones were always more interested in money than everyone elses benefit. The other nobles were eager yes to join the royal family but they shared many of the same failings as the Princes."
"Aww..ow!", Maleti giving a little growl as she grabbed at her snout, rolling further along the bed to get out of reach. "I told you~... still they decided to get the princesses opinion of what she wanted in a suitor and perhaps be lucky enough to find one at a large ball they were throwing at the palace. They allowed practically all of noble blood or high breeding to attend, asking their allies and distant relations to invite compatriots they were familiar with that the royal family themselves had never met in the hopes of finding that one man perfect enough for their perfect princess."
There came a little tug at Kins tail, Maleti crawling like a cat against the Fizlens side, wanting to bring attention to herself. "What was the princesses name Kinny?"
"Umm... It was Sapphire, cause her eyes looked just liked them.". There came a silly tired smile from the Faeltar as she tried to roll her eyes, but let her head follow and nearly toppled off, yelping and catching at the blankets to prevent gravities trick. "So yes the ball was going well for friendliness but the princess just saw no connection with any of the people she was introduced to. Oh but they all fell for her, such an amazing dress, the skirt came in silken layers that would shimmer at the slightest touching of light. Thin immacutely forged golden chains linking precious jewels embedded along the front of her bodice and near transparent wraps of the finest cloth entwined her shoulders and upper arms, tailing off in long graceful ribbons."
"But as it so often happens she was being led across the floor by her father and caught a pair of eyes that had the princess stop in her tracks. There was a spark that made her heart flutter like a down coated dove. They were the most entrancing forest greens, like two specks of raw untamed nature that showed more life in a single fleeting glance than the eyes of those who would see her as a way to the throne."
"Her father wondered why she stalled so, why she eased herself from his grip and started into the crowd herself. There was another feature, mane yellow like the sun, like the outstretched fingers of the suns heat. She tried to get through the throng of people all with questions, all with gifts, all vying for her attention but she was captivated by that being she had spotted from the corner of her eye."
"The Queen, she knew that look in her daughters eye and aided her, large sweeping motions in her own regal dress and the crowd was steadily parted. She made such delicate clops in those almost crystaline heels and found the one that insillted desire within her... being chastised by the palace guards. He stood so tall, so firm against harsh words and threats of punishment, a curving on his lips that made a slight breath pass from the princesses own. The mans attire was horribly scruffy, looking like the vagrants that had been seen in other cities, such roughness, ugly stitching and burn marks upon the fabric... all it seemed to do was magnify the perceived perfection of his features in her mind."
The guards stood to attention as the princess approached, explaining that he was not among the invited guests but had snuck in among the servants setting up the sustenance-"
"Whas... sussiness?", came a half-purred murmur from the jaguar. From how her body relaxed so quickly after it seemed unlikely she'd hear the answer so Kin just continued. "And they were very displeased with the rudeness of barging into a function.
The princess tried to speak to this man, this unusual mixture of beauty with scruff but at each attempt to utter words she raised her head to look in his eyes as was rather polite to do and found the sounds effectively stolen from her. She could not utter anything to him, her heart just grasped tight upon her voice and refused to let it go out of panic of somehow causing him to instantly vanish such as when chasing a dream to find yourself awake. Thankfully he was not without voice himself and answered the questions she'd been unable to ask. That he was sorry for stepping in but while he was uninvited several people he knew had been and merely wanted to speak with them before he left... left!?... this finally brought sound to the princess as she questioned why he would leave. Eyes wide and fearful as she clapped her hands over her mouth, being raised too polite and not savage at all so she couldn't curse herself."
The man gave a simple, quiet little laugh that had his shoulders bounce upon his frame. He said that his life was to travel, to see all that he could and find what he desired... whatever that could be. It wounded the Princess in ways she never expected to hear derisive laughter from the guards and felt compelled to step closer as if that would signify her support of his decision... and perhaps bring herself to be among his desires. A slow attempt at relaxing caused a long intake from the princess and she found the mans scent intoxicating, it smelt in ways familiar but distinct. That he had the scent of the farms but not ones here, that there was flecks of ash from a smithy but certainly none she had seen... it continued, so many things and places that swam within her mind.
She had to know something definitive about him, something that was not a philosophy or paint further seas of fantasy within her mind. She asked for his name and received it. Her smile broad and cheeks flushed. There came the sound of a band striking up, of the dance-floor being prepared and she offered her hand. The guards confused as the Princess Sapphire invited this man to not only dance with her, but to enjoy this night as a guest of honour. While her hands were daintily gloved she could feel his touch with supreme clarity and smiled up at this man who was no longer a stranger."
There came a tiny little pain upon Kins tail, narrowing her eyes to see Maleti nipping at it with her beaky bit. "Did they Kinny?", large golden eyes half-lidded as she almost passed out from exhaustion. Kin smiling broadly and giving the little savage annoyance the peace of mind she herself found in this tale, "Yes Letty, they both lived happily ever after. He found what he was searching for all those years on that dance-floor and they were married soon after and had lots and lots of children. The end."
"Yaaa-zzz.."
