Two things

One, a story.
So yesterday scared the living shit outta me. So I come home from a two week (well, 17 day) leave period after not having taken leave for 10 months. When I get back from CA all the way to VA (6 to 8 hour flight btw) I just want to go home, turn on my computer, and play League 'till I die. Well when I first walk in the apartment (had to cab back because I was the first one back from leave) my first concern is Sithis, my ball python. He'd been left alone for 17 days and I wanted to make sure he hadn't run out of water.
GOOD NEWS: He didn't
BAD NEWS: ALL POWER TO THE APARTMENT WAS CUT! THAT MEANS NO HEATING LAMP FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG!
It was below 60 degrees in his tank, and I have no clue how long it was like that. When I saw both lights off, I flipped the hell out and ran over to his tank, lifting the little cave rock thing, and there he is, motionless. I go to pick him up, still motionless and ICE COLD. At this point, I thought he was dead, so I was reasonably upset and having a panic attack. In about 3 seconds though, he moved a little, so I threw him in my sleeve and let him curl around my arm.
Scared the living shit outta me.
BUT NOW! Power is back on, his heating lamp is on, and it's a nice 80 degrees for him in the cage.

How dare you insult the Dread Father in such a fashion.
I certainly hope that doesn't happen ever again, though. If that'd happened to me, I would've been terribly paranoid of ever leaving him alone again! Poor baby. ; n;
