Commission Updates and Statuses

A big thank you to all my current customers waiting on suits!
I wrote a long a verbose journal but my computer crashed and it got deleted D:
In short: My dog Hippo got GDV (gastric torsion). I caught it in time and rushed him to an emergency hospital (at 1:30 am) and he was able to get the life-saving surgery. There were some ups and downs, but he gets his staples out tomorrow (in 4 hours actually), Or should get them out tomorrow. Total running bill is $6000. He's over 100 lbs and is older. Emergency fees, fluids, a trocar to get him stabilized to get to the bigger hospital, x-rays (he had a total of 6 in 3 days), tons of pain medication, surgery, anesthesia, full blood chemistry profiles, antibiotics (Clavamox alone was $200), more fluids, ICU care, etc. This past 10 days has been a constant schedule of small feedings, pills, etc.
Suit updates: it's been a loong and longly overdue wait. I've made most everything from scratch, paw pads, claws, jaw sets, etc. Paw pads, jaw sets, claws and horns come in a multitude of colors, some are glow in the dark and some are UV reactive. :D
I've perfected techniques about jaws with a bite for customers. These jaws have a bite to them (and can snap) and can be un-hinged for emergency repairs or other endevours. This took a bunch of time to figure out to get it right. But I'm very happy with the end result.
New realistic heads. New realistic heads look pretty sharp, very detailed and realistic. There was a big extursion (just between myself and myself) to find a adhesive to bond the jaw sets to the heads. No adhesives were working, it was very frustrating. I found one (which really isn't an adhesive at all actually, but bonds to the resins).
Airbrushing! I now offer airbrushing. I invested in a nice airbrushing set up lately. I do not consider it a short-cut as airbrushing some markings make them look more realistic than sewing. Not all pigments are created equal. I often mix my own which are washable when dried and will last for years. Many colors are available and I've been experimenting with this a lot lately. Airbrushing can give great highlights and details on suits.
Tiny Feets. It's what I call them. They're a small realistic hind paw you can walk around on your hind toes (a big 180 from my older giant toony style paws). The cast latex pad sheets are from Running Wolf productions and at this point are the only thing I outsource.
Whew, so that's that. FINALLY finishing up some heads now!

*waggwagg* These are all really exciting developments! The jaws that you are using sound fantastic! In the future when I get another suit (Because you can never have just one) I will let ya know! Can't wait to see some pics and submissions from ya! *licks*. Sorry to hear about your dog, My rottie Jade had that a few years ago, It was dodgy but we got it caught in time too. I hope he pulls though ok and is bouncy again in a few weeks. *hughughug*

OP
Thanks! He's slowly getting better. He was suppose to get his staples out on Thursday, but the vet said he wasn't healed enough then, so he's getting them out tomorrow. He's getting his energy back slowly, but he needs to be on antacids and a home-cooked diet for a while. For the first week it was pretty touch and go.
