I agree. The secrecy thing blows...and not in a fun way. Coming out is a bitch, but you can always do it in careful stages. Sometimes it takes having two soical circles for awhile...those who know, and those who don't. Don't feel like you have to rush tho. It was like a two year long process for me before everyone that mattered knew. Try to start with picking the closest friends first...they usually cope better than most..unless they've shown signs of being phobic. Family goes last...and just as a precaution, I favor having a place to stay planned in advance before that conversation. (Also...never have that chat during a holiday...everyone is already stressed out, so it makes it crazier...I found that out the hard way!) Good luck!
